Woof Blaster is an action packed shooter featuring a dog with a gun and jet boots in search of a magical pizza which holds the key to becoming King of the Dog Planet. Destroy waves of enemies with an array of weapons, power-ups and the ability to transform into different monsters such as a T-Rex that shoots rockets from its mouth!

A game with a pricetag that has become a free game. Sweet!!!
Woof Blaster is an arcade-style shooter where you play as a dog that clears the screen of smiley faces (a few reminding me of Homestar Runner, who I have enormous joy in obliterating for personal reasons). The quest is simple, gather the triangles of power to obtain the sphere of destiny..........okay fine! It's a pizza. Happy?...
You have a variety of powerups, transformation powers, and bullet types to increase your survival along with health powerups, which can all be bought with in-game pounds. (You know...the European Dollar sign that looks like an L instead of an S?) There's also a cheat code you can use to make the game MUCH easier, but it requires a controller's assistance to do so.
As you complete a stage, you'll be faced with a boss. Bosses include The Grinch, Plus Sign, Fat Turtle Gator, Trucker Moldorm (from The Legend of Zelda), and a few others. Each has a unique playstyle and become increasingly difficult with each passing level.
For the price of Free, you're getting a nice game. My only complaint is that the hitsounds come directly from Megaman/Rockman without being credited. Woof Blaster is a bit challenging, but it's something that I'm certain that most gamers won't find much difficulty in completing this particular title. After completing this game, you may find that the replayability is rather low. Please keep that in mind.
6/10 Another dog game for another dog day.

First of all, this game is vastly harder than the graphical style would suggest.
Negatives: Powerups are poorly documented and require trial and error to figure out, and not all of them are particularly useful. It's too easy for one mistake to result in multiple points of damage.
If you can figure out what's going on and survive a couple levels, it becomes clear that there is a legimate game under the pixelated affectations, made with love and care. Runs are short enough that trial and error isn't a major timesink.
At some point between when I originally wrote this review and now, the game went free-to-play; if it seems even vaguely appealing there's no reason not to try it.

Great game. Enjoying the straightforward presentation and fast pace. The main protagonist seems appropriately nuanced in his motivations (pizza is awesome, cats are not). Hitboxes can occasionally be a little ruff.

A challenging 2D bullet-hell action arcade game
+ Fast-Paced Frantic Gameplay
+ A nice variety of weapons / abilities
+ Great chiptune music
+ Challenging bosses
+ Insane "Rage-Mode" transformations
+ Kinda Silly in all aspects, the characters, bosses, power ups, the pizza? lol
- May cause siezures (lots of flashing)
- Overly difficult sometimes feels a bit unfair
- Money despawns too quickly
- A bit annoying to have to drop down everytime to collect the money
- The screen gets covered in stuff causing you to lose track of what can kill you
- You can't change directions while firing
- It's hard to dodge bullets / enemies while hopping in the air
- It can sometimes be hard to save up enough money to buy upgrades in the shop
