Ultimechs
The goal zones light up. The crowd roars. A perfectly engineered mech enters the arena under your control. Welcome to the sport of Superball.
Ultimechs lets players remotely pilot high-performance mechs that compete in the futuresport of Superball, working their way up the field with a teammate as they zoom, block, punch and score their way to victory in the world’s #1 Superball league.
Taking everything that makes sports great today and combining it with the inconceivable technology of tomorrow, Ultimechs represents the pinnacle of engineered athletic achievement.
Managing the direction and speed of a massive superball is no small undertaking — and that’s why we’ve equipped our mechs with the latest in state-of-the-art rocket fist technology.
Aim your fist, fire and control your punch in mid-air to line it up to find the superball sweet spot. Throw a heat-seeking haymaker to knock it out of your opponents’ reach, pass it to your teammate, or bash it into your target to score the winning goal.
Going the distance to become a Superball Champion takes more than grease, gas and gears — it takes a cooperative spirit as players communicate, strategize and react with their teammate as they partner up for 2v2 competition.
Don’t play well with others? Players that are looking to hog all the glory of a win (or keep the sting of a loss to themselves) can also experience Ultimechs in 1v1 play.
Become a Superball supporter today! Wishlist Ultimechs now and stay up-to-date on all of the information to come ahead of the game’s launch later this year.

If you expect this to be rocket league, don't. It's not. It is a fun and a well-made vr game though.

Lots of fun, not a lot of people playing sadly. For a free game, this is great. It may seem simple but it is still a lot of fun. Hopefully more people will give it a chance. People compare it to Rocket League because its a ball and you hit it in a goal... it isn't rocket league. You use your fist to hit the ball, you teleport around an arena to position yourself, and then you can pick up an orb to use an ability which is based around the character you choose.

This game is basically Rocket League, but instead of cars bumping the ball, its with Mechs that send their fists flying to hit the ball.
Your movement is Teleport only, and you can only move to designated spots on the stadium.
I think id want to be able to play with free locomotion, but teleport only work pretty well. I only wish the teleport was more of a DASH to the spot, rather than an Instant teleportation, because that would give you more of a sense where you moved to on the field.
Like, if someone else is in the spot you wanted to move to (or if they teleport right before you do), you will teleport to a different spot, and it will make you lose the feel of where you are, in such a fast paced game its a bit jarring taking 2-3 seconds to get your bearings straight.
The game is quite fun, but currently it has some issues, like its hard to know where your Teammate is, the ball and your fists are a bit hard to calculate how far away are (maybe adding some shadows could help?), and i had some issues joining friends games. (also im from Mexico and my Ping was pretty high, +150ms)
But overall the game works fine.
All in all i can totally see the E-sports potential in this game, its fast, its challenging, and it requires skill to be good at it. And its FREE!
So i totally recommend this to anyone that wants to scratch that rocket league itch... with Mechs!

Rocket League in VR but like mixed with that Nintendo robo boxing game. Honestly really fun once you get the hang of it. Did I mention ITS FREE! We need more players so invite your friends!

First note, played a lot more with the quest and Pico version but now primarily steam due to better streaming option. In my opinion this will be the premier e-sports title in VR. The graphics are really good, the gameplay is amazing, and the rocket steer is dope. Much less nauseating than nock due to the teleport feature, which really enables super fast movement without any nausea for me (35y old).

Came in thinking it was just gonna be a cheap rocket league off of some sorts but in VR so it would be even worse, but I actually really enjoy the game.

The game is super fun! I would say it's more fun that rocket league, hitting the ball is a lot easier, and it's fun to zip around the arena while picking up energy orbs to activate special weapons, the rail gun is great! My only problem with the game is how buggy the party system is currently. I was playing with some friends and we had to restart the game every time after a match just because we all got kicked out of the party and were unable to join each other again. Also, the voice chat stopped working very often in-game and required a restart as well. If these issues gets fixed then the game will be truly great!
