Welcome to an old, ruined train station. A place that will give you a lot of fun! In Train Station Renovation you play as a renovation company specialized in restoring old and damaged railway stations.
In Train Station Renovation you play as a renovation company specialised in restoring railway stations. The game is set in abandoned and destroyed train stations, you will start with small rural ones to ease in and eventually be challenged with sprawling train stations in metropolitan areas.
The game is divided into 10 maps (stations) which gradually teach you new mechanics and help you manage different working environments. Each station needs to be cleaned, fixed and decorated with items and equipment to bring it back to life.

I'm an avid player of House Flipper. And Train Station Renovation....Wow! I've played all the way through and love it. There was lots to do. I found some stations took over an hour to complete. It's fun and relaxing. I enjoyed this game. I recommend it.
You clean up train stations. You start out small and get bigger as you go. You clean up trash, make repairs, place items to complete missions. As you progress through a mission your earn stars (up to 5) along with bonus money. You earn points you can spend to upgrade you tools, which is done in the office. A bonus: you get to name you own renovation business. There is an achievement system. I found that I got many of these just by playing through the game. I have found I will need another play through to get them all.
There is a scanner you can activate to let you know if you missed any trash or repairs you overlooked. (I found this very helpful). This is one of the tools you can upgrade. It does not tell you any benches, machines, furniture etc. you might not have placed. For this pay attention to the lower right corner of you monitor. There you find will be a list of items needing to be placed and how many are required. Keep an eye out for the large green circles in the area it will let you know you have tasks to complete. The list will only appear if you are in the area. Also, in the upper left corner main parts of the job appear to let you know what to do. (For example, Move the Train engine, place signs, or open crates).
There are two types of trash bins: mixed (regular trash) and segregation (get paid for recycling). Make sure to pay attention to the trash you pick up. It,s separated into colored bags. If not in a bag look for the colored icon in the lower right of the screen it will let you know what you pickup. A gray trash can is mixed. Yellow, blue or green is recycle trash, which makes you money. I found that by using the axe I can break up some item. (Not all items can be broken down by using the axe.) After breaking them down they go into the recycle or regular trash sacks that eventually full up then can be placed in the assigned bin.
Using the keyboard and mouse to get around is fairly easy. Rotating the items around have now become much smoother then when the game was first released. Thank you Devs for fixing this issue. Makes for more enjoyable game play.
This game is nostalgia for me because it brought back were I grew up with the train rails were a block away. Playing this makes me miss the rumble of the train and the toot of the horn. Thank you Devs for a new wonderful game.
UPDATE: Since release the Devs have added more stations, fixed a lot of issues and added items in the tablet to buy for renovation. You can also play the sandbox mod now. Thank you Devs for listening.

Anyone with a tendency towards OCD behaviour will just love this game. I just spent 30 minutes looking for one piece of rubbish, was sooo happy when I finally found it. Ahh perfection makes me happy.

If you like zen-style task simulators like House Flipper or Viscera Cleanup Detail, this game is right up your alley. It's a total chillfest, and pretty satisfying to finish. There's a sandbox mode too, if you want some extra reno time. But honestly it's worth it even if you just play through the main levels once to the end and call it a day.
The replay value is kinda iffy IMO, unless you really want to go into the nitty gritty of sandbox mode and customize the hell out of a station. The floor/wall choices are a bit lacking though, so I guess YMMV depending on what aspect of these types of games you enjoy more - before/after satisfaction, or more customization options.

I will 100% clean, fix, dismantle and redecorate a virtual train station but you better believe my kitchen looking like the nuclear waste level.

Hello everyone,
i won't repeat what others said, Zen Game, relaxing etc.
But in regards of the bad reviews that refer to the lags after putting down some furniture, i can say with joy that the delevopers fixed this bug.
With yesterdays update you can put down furniture without the lag which was present in older versions.
So it shouldn't be a reason to no play this game.
One thing is still bad, if you are looking to do the achievements. You always! have to assemble and start the train in the adjactent room, before doing anything else. Otherwise no achievements will pop.

House Flipper lite, with a bit of Train Mechanic thrown in for good measure. The developers of this one managed to find a near-perfect mix of cleaning up and renovating each of the stations I've played through. The included soundtrack is nice, but the song selection is tiny so you'll eventually find yourself turning it off and replacing it with something of your own.
Note Train Station Renovation is currently an Early Access title and it shows, there are a handful of broken achievements that may or may not work for you. Also, there are small bugs on some maps such as invisible garbage you'll not be able to pick up barring a restart. Updates have slowed as the dev team is currently working on integrating the ability to replay maps as well as fix issues with the Farmley map before proceeding further with development.
As of now, if the late-game jobs are anything to go by one trip through the included maps will take roughly 18 hours. To complete all current achievements (should they activate for you) you'll be looking at a little over double the 18 hours as one requires you NOT upgrade the tools and the base versions are quite a bit slower at their tasks. Decent value for the money in my opinion, I'll update this later on as the game progresses.
