Welcome to an old, ruined train station. A place that will give you a lot of fun! In Train Station Renovation you play as a renovation company specialized in restoring old and damaged railway stations. In Train Station Renovation you play as a renovation company specialised in restoring railway stations. The game is set in abandoned and destroyed train stations, you will start with small rural ones to ease in and eventually be challenged with sprawling train stations in metropolitan areas. The game is divided into 10 maps (stations) which gradually teach you new mechanics and help you manage different working environments. Each station needs to be cleaned, fixed and decorated with items and equipment to bring it back to life.

I recommend Train Station Renovation for people who like games like House Flipper for it's clean up portion but NOT for people who are interested in the decorating portion. If games like Power Wash Simulator appeal to you, read on!
THE GOOD STUFF:
The stages are various train stations in states of disarray. You have to clean them up (remove graffiti, trash, replace windows, etc) and then add furniture and decorations to clear the stage.
If you're looking for a relaxing, low stress "clean up" gameplay loop, you can find that here! I'm a big fan of Power Wash simulator and House Flipper, because I enjoy the low pressure activities of picking up trash and tidying a stage or area. That's the bulk of what this game offers! The other part of this game I did not enjoy (the decorating) but more on that later.
The music is pleasant and never distracting and the sounds in general are nice
The graphics are decent - while it's nothing incredible looking, it's on par with a lot of other games in this genre
Despite all of the locations being train stations, I never got bored of the atmosphere. And they did change up the locations enough to make each one distinct.
I got 13 hours of gameplay out of this - I beat every stage, but bear in mind that I also didn't invest any time beyond the bare minimum into the decorating portion of this
THE NOT SO GOOD STUFF
So this is more of a neutral thing, not a bad thing but it seems like a lot of people in reviews thought this would involve trains more than it does. I'm not sure why, but to clarify, while these stages are all train stations that you have to clean up, and you do have tasks to clean up inside the train cars and "fix" things outside of them, that's where it ends. There is also a little train set you can play with in your "home base" which people might enjoy (I thought it was a neat touch) but you will not be controlling a train, or watching trains, etc. There are also some train based facts on the loading screens.
If you're hoping to have fun decorating or giving your newly cleaned train station a new look - you might find yourself disappointed. Each stage has a requirement of what you have to add back (e.g. 10 benches, 6 decorations, 4 trash cans, etc). I didn't really like that, as it felt like I lacked freedom to do what I wanted to with the space. Additionally, the decor items are not very interesting to me personally. I was not motivated at all to paint, replace floors, or really do anything past the minimum requirements because I didn't really feel like it made it anymore interesting to look at. You might not mind, but I don't really enjoy adding 6 benches and some vending machines to every stage with very little variation in looks. Again, this is a "your mileage may vary" situation, because some of you might enjoy that portion quite a lot.
Devs please make the jump a little higher. You have to jump from the platforms to the ground and back up quite a lot in this game and the platforms are often JUST a tiny bit too high to make it, so you have to run all the way to the end of the platform to get back onto it.
Similarly, it was also tricky to get into the train cars sometimes for this exact reason
TLDR This game is super fun and relaxing for those of us who enjoy the low pressure gameplay loop of picking up trash and cleaning things until the area is all clean.

Relaxing time-waster where you pretty much do what it says in the title- renovate train stations. The criteria for decorating is pretty lenient so you can be as creative or as boring as you like. And while the satisfaction from cleaning up the entire station is gratifying, the process to get there can be tedious when you don't have a skip nearby and end up walking halfway across an area to deposit some rubble. The game giveth and the game taketh away.

I fancied a change from House Flipper 1 and in comparison, this game is relaxing and has merits in its simplicity but it isn't a design game. You collect rubbish, clean, and install items from a limited list (benches, toilets, clocks). You must add certain items but can add more if you wish. I need to connect a mouse as the 'wheel' button opens the tool selector which is bit glitchy. My main bug bears are that you can't clean and repair everything (eg the grounds, surroundings, exteriors, roof) and the finished station looks grotty because of this. The limited selection of items you can place is frustrating in comparison to House Flipper and I would like a bit more of the 'trains' element. For a relaxing hour after work it's a nice game with heaps of potential to develop the design and creative aspects. There is also a 'toy train' game but have yet to get the train all the way around without derailing! I do recommend so long as you're not expecting to have a sparkling designer station at the end of it.

In a lot of ways it's House Flipper but with Train Stations. Repair Stuff, Buy Benches, Clocks and what have you then place them around the station to furnish it so it looks nice.
Or get bored and spam 12 benches in one tiny area of the platform like I did - the result's the same either way as far as level completion goes.
Is it 100% completable ?
Yes, but you'll also have to buy the Buggy Germany DLC to do that, which is quite annoying.
If you have a Hercule Poirot "Order and Method" type brain or just like bringing order to chaos then it's a nice relaxing game to dip in and out of. Except when You're 3 hours in and still trying to find a cigarette end that will take your completion from 99% to 100.
I think it would have been good to have an extra tool that specifically guides you, (say with an arrow for example) to missing pieces of your completion rate when you get to a certain % of completion.
I'd give it a 7/10. It's an older game so you might get it on a good sale, so consider picking it up then.

I wanted a game I can play in the background whilst watching shows/movies and still enjoy both.
It didn't fail me, I was impressed with how easy it was to pick up and it's quite enjoyable with tool upgrades and table upgrades. Can recommend, especially for five dollars!

This game is very relaxing, it features cleaning, repairing, and renovating.
Each level you earn stars for completion which you can use to upgrade tools to make them better.
i have enjoyed this game and would recommend this.
