The most customizable auto battler
About the GameTower of Chaos is a heavily customizable tactical auto battler with rogue-lite elements and an immersive story with multiple characters sharing an ambiguous past.
Featuring two exploration modes, campaign and challenge modes, togglable hints and a variety of graphical options, it is designed for new players to the genre, as well as auto chess veterans.
Build up your army
As a commander, you have the freedom of recruiting your units, setting the most effective formation on the battlefield, forging powerful items and acquiring the mighty Patron’s blessings.
Using special potions can turn the tide of the battle into your favor, but only true leaders are capable of engaging in a fight at the right moment. Combining powers from all sources grants you endless possibilities for perfecting your build.
Control the Chaos
Your actions at the tower will not remain unnoticed. Conquering it empowers its guardians, making exploration more dangerous. You have countless opportunities of acquiring precious loot, but choosing the greedy path will make your fall imminent.
You can also challenge your commander’s skills in Trials of the Mind, with all the unlocks at your disposal and ability to forge an unstoppable army ready to face multiple waves of enemies. The Gate of Challenges awaits the bravest commanders, unleashing the full destructive potential of the tower.
Unfold the origins
Every conquer attempt starts at Guardian’s Quarters. Here you will meet the inhabitants willing to share the glimpse of their powers to support your cause. Show them your gratitude by upgrading and improving the base for your fellow Patrons.
Meet a set of fully voiced-over characters and look for the answers hidden in the origins of your allies. But keep your head down, even with a legendary chaos octopus jumping on your forehead!

Despite being in Early Access Tower of Chaos is a solid Auto-Battler. You start the game with about a quarter of the in game upgrades unlocked and as you play you can unlock more units, potions and buildings that grant passive buffs using resources that you gather during runs. As for the actual runs you need to balance fighting enemy units against the Chaos level a risk vs reward mechanic that necessitates choosing what enemies to fight. Overall its a solid start that is worth the price of entry that could grow into something amazing. At the time of review the small developer team had updated the game almost daily fixing bugs, adding features and improving game balance.

It is a good combination of exploring a map for roguelike buffs and trying to get some kind of build with your units and auto-battle mechanics.
It is highly randomized and runs feel different. Balancing can use some touches as I always get destroyed without any chance by a random group later on which feels extremely overpowered while I have no trouble at all with other mobs in that area.
Wishes for more would be difficulty options or something like a stacking (optional) buff for each failed run like in Hades.
If you're unsure, try the demo.

Single player TFT or Dota Underlords, lots of fun!

Solid Auto Battler with a good variety of units to choose from, with synergies that are balanced and interesting, games UI feels a bit rough and graphics arent the best but honestly i'm here for auto chess style game-play and this game really delivers.

Great game with a lot of depth. There are a lot of different systems allowing you to gain an edge in battle and the risk/reward type gameplay keeps you at the edge of your seat. A must have for anyone who likes auto battler/rogue-lite gameplay. The units feel distinct and do not feel like simple copies of other units in the same genre, though some overlap is inevitable.
The whole game is voice acted as well with actually good voice acting which definitely adds to the experience.
I did run into a few minor bugs but nothing gamebreaking and I would assume they will get patched soon. The main one being the soundtrack being cut off at random times.
Overall it is definitely worth it at this price point, would even call it a steal for the hours of quality content you get.
