The Silent Kingdom is a story-driven, otome RPG where player’s choices and interactions with other characters set the narrative.

Place yourself in the role of Princess Erinys, whose kingdom has fallen under the yoke of a sorrowful curse. In order to save everything you have ever known and loved, you’ll have to stand against the entire world – and even defy the Goddess herself.
How much weight will a withered kingdom burden your soul? As a princess, will you be loved or hated, betrayer or betrayed? Will you seek comfort in the companionship of others, or will the demise of your kingdom seal your heart away forever?
A path of thorns is waiting. The manner in which you walk it is up to you.
- A main character that’s defined, yet mouldable to your taste.
Princess Erinys is an established protagonist with both a background and a fundamental personality of her own; yet it is ultimately for you to decide just who she is and what she will become in this world. As the player, you’ll be free to choose the way she speaks to and perceives others, decide on her thoughts and emotions regarding various different events, and even select your own preferred name for her if you so wish. Every decision that falls into her hands – large or small – ultimately falls into yours.
- Roleplay experience.
Apart from the most impactful decisions in the story, many dialogue interactions will also contain choices that merely focus on immersion, allowing the player to establish exactly the kind of personality and emotions that they wish to give their princess. There is never any “correct” answer when it comes to interacting with others, just different answers.
- Romance.
The princess will have the ability to develop bonds and even romantic relationships with either of the two companion characters she’ll travel with. Although not required in order to see the story to its completion, the relationships you forge with other characters will play a pivotal role in its development.
*Please note: Pending the success of the Kickstarter campaign, it is the author’s intent to add one additional character to the roster of romanceable characters.
- Dark and emotional story.
In this world where every conflict and resolution are bathed in various shades of grey, tragedies and souls stained by corruption arise one after another. Will the princess question her own morality? Will narcissism and lust for power replace faithful bonds to become her most loyal companions? And from what prism will she judge the sins of others?
- In English and Spanish. Choose the language from the options menu.
- Length of the prologue: An hour and twenty minutes approximately.

WOW, what an amazing gem! The first episode already starts off amazingly. Every aspect of this game has impressed me so much and exceeded my expectations — and I’m not even making this up.
I highly recommend this game not only to otome fans but to all JRPG fans as well. I can't wait for more! ❤

Wow - to the solo dev: you wrote this dark and mesmerizing story, did all the art (which is better than a good chunk of professional JPRGs and otomes I've played), composed the haunting soundtrack and managed to weave in messaging and symbolism that made me pause and reflect... by yourself? I cannot wait for the full game and see what else you will create. Amazing.

The artstyle is BEAUTIFUL, every background is a masterpiece and the character's designs are also awesome. I personally love that the protagonist is NOT the stereotypical kind and naive princess that would not hurt a fly. The gameplay is very enjoyable and it is easy to understand despite not being familiarized with RPG. I think the price is worth it if you like dark story, love triangles, puzzles and turn-based battles.

I was dying for a JRPG with great hand-drawn art, a grounded dark story, good dialog, and gameplay with enough challenge to feel like I've earned progression and the game isn't playing itself but not hard enough to kill my vibe. This is 100% that game.
Just finished and I'm already planning on restarting and doing an alternate path run!!
I can't say enough about the amazing art, animations, plot. The clever and sometimes surprising minigame mechanics. First game I've bought at full price in years, and it is worth every penny because there just ISN'T another game like this!

I’ve played so many otomes over the years, and it’s incredibly rare to come across a treasure like The Silent Kingdom. It easily outshines otomes from well-known studios with full teams behind them. Even in early access, it has more polish, heart, and personality than so many otomes on the market. It's going to be so hard to go back to them!
The Silent Kingdom has everything I look for: a compelling story with excellent prose, enticing love interests (I love that one is shy but loyal, while the other is bold and mysterious—truly the best of both worlds), classic RPG mechanics that feel refreshing in an otome space (though it can be tough at times!), and beautiful art and music. I absolutely can't wait to continue the story!

From the moment I launched this game, I knew it was something truly special. The combination of heartfelt romance, turn-based combat, and meaningful decision-making created an experience that feels both personal and epic. Every choice I made carried weight, shaping not only the course of the story, but also the relationships I built along the way.
The story absolutely captivated me. It’s beautifully written and is full of emotion, twists, and characters that feel alive. The dialogue is sharp and immersive, and the way the script weaves love, loyalty, and conflict together is nothing short of masterful. The developer’s writing and storytelling skills deserve endless praise as they’ve created a world that pulls you in completely. Part of me genuinely struggled to make choices because so many of them conflicted with my moral compass and I even struggled picking which romance option I wanted to pursue (because they both are amazing). The game doesn’t shy away from hard truths and it puts you in the same kind of impossible situations a true hero would face. It reminds you that, no matter how pure your intentions, you will always be a villain in someone else’s story. That realization hit hard and made every decision feel meaningful and painful (in the best possible way).
This moral tension perfectly mirrors the protagonist’s internal struggle. She’s forced to choose between tainting her soul or saving her people, and that conflict is portrayed so beautifully that you can’t help but feel every ounce of her burden. It’s storytelling at its finest...raw, emotional, and deeply human.
Beyond the narrative, the art and animation are simply stunning. Every frame is so beautiful and I especially loved the cutscenes and art involved with certain scenes with the romance options. The attention to detail is remarkable, and it’s clear that an immense amount of passion went into bringing this game to life.
Honestly, this game has quickly become one of my top favorites. It’s rare to find a title that balances heartfelt storytelling, compelling game-play, and stunning visuals so perfectly. I can’t wait for the full release, because if the current experience is any indication, we’re in for something truly unforgettable.
