Nice old point and click. Took 10 hours to play. Agatha Christie story rip-off, but the characters were fun and the artwork lovely. The hotspot highlight tool did not help at all - impossible to see the highlight. But I really didn't need it, as the game was very easy. There was one puzzle in the Cairo museum that needed walkthrough help. First half you play as a Swiss policeman. Second half as a an Egyptian thief. Takes place on the Orient Express, a cruise ship from Venice to Cairo, and an Eqyptian museum.

A good game which dared to be different, it was humorous and fun to play, the voice acting was above average and you felt like you were in a movie. We had to use the hot spot hint once because we didn't look properly, but everything was solvable. A good Adventure game worth playing.

I first played the original game when Chapter 1 came out for free on another gaming platform, where I instantly loved the setting, the style and the plot of the story. Years later I decided to pick the game up here on steam and play the whole thing.
This game is heavily influenced by the works of Agatha Christie, which as a fan of her novels and works, greatly appeals to me. The positive points of this game are the story, which is engaging, clever and makes you want to find out more with every event in the plot. The puzzles are challenging but not impossible to complete, with no time limit or pressure to get the correct answer first time. There are hints available to use at any time if you get stuck, but this will decrease your score and determine which kind of achievements you get at the end of each chapter. The controls of the game are very easy to understand, and finding clues and items becomes easier the more practice you get by playing the story. There is a notebook you can read throughout the story, where the characters write observations of events and other individuals in the story, which I thought was a great addition to the game as it allows you to get a more in-depth grasp on the story and if you take a break from the game for some time, you can quickly get back up to speed and pick up where you left off.
As with any game there are some downsides. The graphics and lip synch animation to match the audio are not the best I have seen however, when considering the type of game this is and the cost of it, this didn't matter too much and it did not distract from the enjoyment whilst playing. I had read in a lot of the reviews there were some glitches throughout that meant some player had to restart sections from an older save file. This did happen to me once in my playthrough, where I could not progress due to the animation freezing when a character was climbing on top of the train. I was about to restart from a very old save file near the start of the chapter, but after calling it a day and going back online 2 days later, the issue seemed to resolve itself and the animation worked perfectly. My advice to prevent this from happening is to save often throughout the story, the game does autosave for you, but in the case of my game freezing the autosave file was after the glitch had started and I had no previous manual save file to go back too that wasn't close to where I was in the story.
Overall I think this game is definitely worth playing, it has such a rich and entertaining story, especially if you are a fan of murder mysteries. I found myself wanting to play more and more each evening just to find out who, what and why. I would love to see a sequel one day or another mystery/story based game like this one.

I really really enjoyed this. So many P&C games done with caricatures are a bit inane or simply annoying. This one really had me engaged. If you like Point and Click and looking for a game with an intriguing storyline then I recommend this one

Brilliant game. Very nice story, high quality animation, map design, soundtrack and real voice acting. Really recommend this for all point & click lovers. Encountered a couple of annoying bugs but the rest 99% is pure gold.

It's pretty good!
It has aged a little already, having a little janky vibe - but it's all very serviceable. It has the feel of the indie point and click adventure, and definitely respect for it being fully voiced - and the VA is rather ok.
Mechanics wise, this is less of a detective game (there's not really any deducing or detective mechanics) and more of a classical point and click - and it's an ok one. Some of the solutions are a little weird, or very specific, but nothing too crazy.
The weird part is the scoring system - not sure why and for whom. But what it also does is that you have to "pay" for highlighting interactables - which is such a weird thing to do. Even if you don't care about some silly score, it is an instant detraction of it (and the highlight is pretty bad). That, combined with the fact that there is some amount of pixel hunting, is probably the biggest gripe I have. It was unnecessary to follow this old school adventure game trope - only to a detriment.
But other than that - it was actually an interesting story to follow. It might seem like it's just yet another whodunnit with a mediocre story, but it actually keeps things somewhat interesting and definitely surprises at the end: in a good way, not a crappy one (as the game even jokes about in one of the dialogues, very self-aware).
I think it's a nice entry for someone liking point and click adventures, and an interesting mystery story - despite some small mechanical flaws.
