Stronghold’s Dungeon
Stronghold’s Dungeon is a game that combines many styles to create its own. Every turn, you will get to generate a board from a deck of cards that you’ve carefully picked throughout your journey within this dungeon.
A lot of enemies
The dungeon master has many minions under his commands. He will make fun of your weaknesses while letting you believe in a potential victory against him. But it will not happen that way. Slimes, Sandworms, undead, Rioting mob ? Each enemy has their own strengths and weaknesses, it’s up to you to decide what strategy to adopt against them to allow you to capitalize on quick exterminations.

Various weapons
Rather brutal warrior or sneaky assassin ? It’s up to you to judge which will be your best choice for your current game. Each defeated enemy will grant you a relic allowing you to improve your card’s effects as well as obtain many passive effects. It’s also up to you to manage your golds which will allow you to buy these said objects, from the most deadly venom to the sharpest halberd, everything has a price.
The law of chance
If you believe in your lucky star, engage this dungeon without fear. If you don’t believe it… Prove to the world, or at least to the master of the dungeon, that randomness does not exist and that only your skills will be able to overcome all its traps. The Rogue-lite side of this opus will allow you to improve after each of your games, whether you win or lose, smoothing your progress and allowing you to constantly access new content.
An important aesthetic
As you noticed, Stronghold’s Dungeon is a pixel art game that’s inspired by the greatest of the genre to give you a visual appearance of the softest and most pleasing to the eye. If that speaks to you, you’ll be constantly pushed to discover the new enemy sprites, relics, and other surprises the game throws at you as you progress in the game.

In a mix of board and card game, you need to pick between different strategies to fight your way to the top of the dungeon to beat the final boss. Making it to the end unlocks new cards, allowing you to try out new builds.
It didn't take me long to unlock everything in the game, but it's a fun concept and I hope there will be more to come!

A good new kind of deck-building roguelike game where you get to see most of your "cards" at every turn, and instead of the fights going back & forth with attacks and defense, you have a set number of rolls to defeat each monster. So you have to balance your damage with your gold generation and try to maximize your synergy (because raw damage from individual cards will eventually fall short).
Easy to learn, quick to play, enough variety that you don't do the same thing every run, but I hope the following months will see an increase in content because so far, it IS a bit short.

Just finished a full clear with all the achievements (4 at the time of writing). I purchased this after watching Retromation's Let's Try. The foundations of a good game are here, however, since it's early in it's lifespan, there aren't a whole lot of strategies yet. Might be my play style, but I feel there are only 2 really strong synergies that'll help you finish the tower before you run out of spins. The curse mechanic (new game+) will be good for challenge runs going forward, but right now, pretty much steer you towards only the most OP route (at current) to finish them (coins/bankers/thieves). The bones of a good game are here, but you might have to be a bit patient to get what you want out of this title. Vampire Survivors was bare bones too and it's expanded quite a bit from it's origins. I feel like buying now is more for supporting the devs and seeing where they'll go with this. As for a wanted feature, I'd like an options to speed up the reels, if that's possible. Thanks for reading and hopes this helps with your decision.

good start. lots of commonalities with luck be a landlord (cultist comp is a direct rip off). eager to see how this game develops moving forward. definitely lacking in terms of varieties of comps/cards/items/curses, but that's to be expected for early access. overall its fun! i recommend. do wish it was harder though. i won all but 1 game i played (got all curse achievements as well). because of the lack of challenge and variety, the replayability is low right now

A nice little Luck Be A Landlord inspired game. But it has a rather dark-medieval-fantasy theme and different characters to choose (currently only 2 but more are promised to be avalaible). The game has surprisingly good graphics (I especially liked the portraits of the characters - amazing) and very nice audio but it also has a surprisingly high price for a game with such low level of content. I do however see the potential and I will gladly check what every new update has to offer.
If the game would be 50% cheaper I would give it a 9 out of 10 score.
For now - 7/10

While the game is definitely still in early access and could use slightly more content, the core mechanics of the gameplay are solid, easy to learn and fun.
If you enjoy playing Luck be a Landlord or other deck-building games, this might be for you. It's a relatively short game at the time of this review, but reasonably priced for the enjoyment I derived from it.

Really enjoyed the vary of builds possible. Wish there was more to the monsters but the curses add a bit of extra content that can either be extremely challenging or hardly noticeable. Definitely worth the price.
