Street Cleaner: The Video Game
The Street Cleaner’s work is never done. Become Jack Slade on his quest to wipe out criminal scum from the streets of San Diego in this 8-bit retro style platformer. Your gun and your trusty baseball bat are the only tools you need to take on the criminal underworld through seven action packed stages.
Street Cleaner is a modern synthwave artist based in San Diego. Inspired by action films of the ’80s to write the soundtrack to a vigilante movie that never existed, he has broadened his sound from retro synth inspiration to chiptunes, darksynth, and more. Street Cleaner: The Video Game is the licensed game that would have been made based on that movie, brought to reality.

I freaking love this game and I plan on speedrunning it in the near future (been working on getting through nightmare mode first). It has the simple charm of those old NES games like Batman, Duck Tales, or Ninja Gaiden but it feels a little bit more polished/modern. It is difficult but once you die enough, it becomes like second nature. It has great enemy placement, even better boss fights, and even better tunes. Fans of NES style games should not miss this one!

Can't deny the greatness of STREET CLEANER as a fellow musician, love the music of course the great retro aesthetic, i must say tho the controls still need work but considering this is his first and looking forward to finding the 2nd and playing the third ,not sure they are going to get fixed and they at my age make it harder than it should, not sure i'll b able to get past the third level, at which time i may just enjoy a playthrough on youtube, speaking of, if you love retro and groovy electronica check out anything by NUCLEO SYNTHESIS which can be found by searching for it on youtube as NUCLEO SYNTHESIS THE GENESIS ARCHITECT JS LOL

I almost never leave reviews on games but this one is just oozing with style. I got the game due to listening to the artists music and was not let down by the sheer love put into every track. The game itself is simple yet challenging, and makes for fun experience. The only negative I have to say about it is that its so short and makes me want more.
