Street Cleaner: The Video Game
The Street Cleaner’s work is never done. Become Jack Slade on his quest to wipe out criminal scum from the streets of San Diego in this 8-bit retro style platformer. Your gun and your trusty baseball bat are the only tools you need to take on the criminal underworld through seven action packed stages.
Street Cleaner is a modern synthwave artist based in San Diego. Inspired by action films of the ’80s to write the soundtrack to a vigilante movie that never existed, he has broadened his sound from retro synth inspiration to chiptunes, darksynth, and more. Street Cleaner: The Video Game is the licensed game that would have been made based on that movie, brought to reality.

I freaking love this game and I plan on speedrunning it in the near future (been working on getting through nightmare mode first). It has the simple charm of those old NES games like Batman, Duck Tales, or Ninja Gaiden but it feels a little bit more polished/modern. It is difficult but once you die enough, it becomes like second nature. It has great enemy placement, even better boss fights, and even better tunes. Fans of NES style games should not miss this one!

Good proper simple game, banging music, enemies made with attention and love and background with same color intensity as foreground :D. I'm just a man with a bat, fighting street thugs, giant rats, ... ninjas? .. mech? ..what's this a magician? Sometimes I feel like I'm under equipped to deal with what's going on in here, but then I unload my gun into the face of the first mook I meet and I feel fine again. Lets do this!
An hour of good authentic fun and challenge.
