As a Dead Cells fan with 1800+ hours who still plays the Daily Challenges, I must say OVIS LOOP is the first game to give me comparable fun and pleasure. Build-building and gameplay-wise, it’s a mix of Astral Ascent and Skul: The Hero Slayer (both were close, but not quite as good). However, the mechanics are new, fresh, and - most importantly - they work. There’s room for improvement, and that’s exactly what Early Access is for. I’ll be checking updates and waiting for the release. Dead Cells fans, don't miss the opportunity to help create a masterpiece!

Game is AMAZING its literally everything i wanted albeit quite buggy in some aspects like the fact that when you close the game it still somehow stays running??? I have to actually stop it via steam. Some interfaces also just dont work initially until you like spam them a few times or jump in and out of them but outside of that the games incredible Ive been waiting for this one forEVER and i do not regret hopping onto it for early access.

Do you like Dead Cells and Sheep? Do you like beautiful pixel animation and roguelites? Want to customize your combos and dodge out of the way while pounding your enemies into the dirt or ceiling? If you answered yes to any of these questions Ovis Loop may be for you. Ask your doctor today about Ovis Loop.
Side effects include relaxing, enjoyment, slight body horror, and an urge to collect all the story bits.
TL;DR game purty an fun.

This game has the potential to be one of the best action roguelike games. Combat feels polished, and the flexibility in the weapon skill combo system allows for some really flashy stuff! One thing that will take this game up a notch is leaning in to the high risk high reward style of picking up raw manium. In most runs, the stacked damage from raw manium pales in comparison to getting synergistic passives. One workaround is to make it so that you can trade multiple pieces of raw manium for a manium exclusive passive / skill; incentivizing players to pick up as much raw manium during their runs. Additionally, it'd be nice to see some form of random level generation to increase the sense of replayability. Looking forward to future updates and the full release of this game.

Quite a fun little roguelite game. Much more so than it looked on the videos. I skipped over it when it first came out, but the good review scores got me interested.
This is definitely a bit more of a button masher than most action games... at least to begin with. But there's a lot of fun here. The action stages are really rewarding, the music is rocking... the combat is super chaotic and wild but also just plain fun. You feel really powerful (until you hit the mini boss!)
This game uses a traditional roguelike road map layout, similar to Slay the Spire, where you pick your path to the end boss. Once you beat that, you go to the next stage. When you die, you return to your little hub where you can unlock new character upgrades or weapons, etc.
There is also a story here! It starts out really vague but starts to unravel as you play. Sometimes you get little snippets, sometimes memories... and don't get me wrong it's kinda weird. But in a fun way.
I definitely think this one was somebody's passion project and it shows. This game is more than meets the eye and I recommend trying it out.

First things first, I do like this game.
Second things second, I really wish you could attack up and down.
If you could do this, the game would be WAY better.
