Edit
In the lands where serenity is forgotten.
Where the worst nightmares are awaken.
And where human lost all wars and abandoned their hope for a quiet life
There is a group of undead and unliving who can save themselves and the whole Humanity.
In SOD2 you will find a new heavy run.
Three new heroes will have to come over other obstacles to reach the epicentre of this cold terrible mist, which has appeared years after the Tera was defeated.

21 minutes in - this game is absolutely awesome. I liked Slash or Die 1 even with its shortcomings, but SoD 2 is a perfect example how to make an okay-good game a lot better.
The animations are super fluid, higher frame rate, a cleaner art style while still having the grim fantasy setting
One top complaint was for the first game that you could not dash while running, breaking the flow and sometimes causing to be hit - it's fixed here, making the gameplay more responsive.
Experience levels (unlocking abilities FOR purchase) is removed, and soul - currency - gain is at least double of the first game, if not more.
Coupled with the faster gameplay and soul-gain it took about 10-15 minutes of gameplay to unlock an ability, more health, an extra dash and two bonus damage, making me oneshot everything I've encountered up to level 2's beginning. And this is awesome. The game is mostly about managing your stamina (dashes) and your positioning, sometimes against 5+ enemies of 3 types that shoot, run and charge at you at various patterns and timings.
I recommended to people about SoD1 to file-edit themselves just one extra level of hp, stamina and maybe speed to make the game fun, instead of mediocre grind against boring enemies at the start, likely taking more than an hour for a new player because of the slower gameplay, stamina regen and soul-income. The dev ended up speeding up the too slow progression - and making the game so much more recommendable by that. Though with this comes a difficulty change too, or at least some unexpected things. First game's enemies from 3rd? level are in the start of level 2, and that really makes me curious what will I have to face later.
In short, the game runs great, the first boss is cool (and I'm really looking forward the others, based on trailer), it's more responsible, and has about the same challenge and enjoyment as the first, while taking way, way less time to reach the fun part, respecting the player's time. It's a great forward step in every aspect.
edit after finishing the game: Still a good game :D
Balance is mostly good. Bosses are high risk high reward fights, it's a bit pity they have so low hp - with maxed characters you can kill the first two bosses with one or two rotation of attacks with two characters, while the boss only attacks one. A bit pity, after all they have 3? different attacks each.
Knight is strong with highest hp (most use of a revive), agile with his dashes, deals high damage. Really cool first hero.
2nd hero (reaper?) is a lot better than barbarian was in 1st game (at least he doesn't get damaged while he travels to his attack location - teleport instead of a jump) but such a pain to start out with him. Fixed range teleport with circle AoE + low movement speed and damage = lot of running away to be able to land 1 damage. Slower but strong against bosses, almost broken against final boss because of the teleport.
Rogue: Very fun and rewarding to play. Fast, lowest hp, damage and stamina, short dash, but can double-dash with each stamina to do the same highest damage as reaper. Double dash also gives mobility, ending up dodging a few chargers/shots then unleash very high damage.

Nice action game! Will not sound like much in this review, but it is a lot of fun playing this game. It is so metal that it is straight off an Iron Maiden album cover. Runs on the Unity game engine. I had no issue running it from ubuntu.
The game has two parts, the combat and the upgrades. Upgrades are purchased after dying with combat drops. In combat, you learn each enemy attack, so you can time a dash-attack without getting hit. The controls are unique: hold the mouse button to move, then mouse button 2 attacks. Nothing more to the game! Play this game 10mins at a time. Keep coming back to it for more upgrades, which making the game easier, for even more upgrades!
Music is okay, the sound is okay, and the pixel graphics are pretty good, with some nice dissolve effects and comic gore animations. I say this is worth checking out, because it is something different, and they did a good job refining their first game to make it lots of fun.

A fun, challenging, addictive, game.
Positives:
+The mouse controls are very responsive
+Enemies have clear attack animations
+Enemies each have unique attacks
+Addictive leveling; killing enemies provides souls which you can use to improve your stats and special abilities
+Worlds become harder, but you also grow stronger
+Short game - positive because you have to beat the whole game in a single run without dying (the game has 3 worlds and a final end-game boss, each world is divided into 3 stages with a 4th boss, e.g. 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, BOSS, 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, BOSS, etc.)
+3 unique characters with different stats, e.g. your first hero has the best stamina and hp, but your 2nd and 3rd heroes have better speed, atk, etc. And with their own different special abilities. So you have 3 totally diffferent playthroughs.
Negatives:
-Your slash, the main aspect of the game, doesn't make you invulnerable. You may think of this attack like a dash move in any other game, but in fact you have no invisibility during your dash. If an enemy is half way through an attack, and you dash into them, you will lose HP. This takes some getting used to.
-Very small bug; music cuts out completely - seemingly based on how long you play the game
-The music is by no means amazing, but it's not horrible either
-Translation for English isn't perfect and seems to have a bit of Russian left in (I think it says "level", and is only seen during world 1-1)
Overall, cannot complain. It's an excellent game, very addictive. Easy to die but also easy to improve.

Short and simple but amazing fun, mouse controls feel precise and RPG elements help avoid the feeling of not progressing at all that has spoiled many roguelikes for me. Check this out if you liked Akane.

interesting little game.
This control only with the mouse. Right click - Attack, Left click to move. Its really simple but more levels you clear, harder enemies and bosses will appear.
There is some very light rpg mechanics but you never get strong enough to breeze through the game. All enemies and bosses do 1 damage per attack and your maximum HP ( depending on the hero ) is 5. You can *buy* 3 continue that you lose when used. You get currency from every enemy killed. The 3 heroes are different enough to be worth trying out and upgrading.
Music and arts are fine. There isn't a lot but whats there is good.
I couldn't beat the final boss , the game got a bit to hard for me but I still recommend.
Kinda wish there was a endless/randomizer mode. Maybe for the sequel ? ;)

It's a decent and simple clicker game.
Pros:
The character models are pretty cool.
The upgrades and unlocks are meaningful and do add to the gameplay.
Game progression feels good as you start to feel more powerful.
Cons:
No controller support. (This is a big one, because my hand starts to hurt after only a few minutes on mouse)
Sprite Overlap for Damage calculation. I hate this method of reading damage. It's lazy.
Only 3 characters.
Dev seems to have abandoned the game.
The Second character is obnoxiously hard to use.
Overall: This game is very good for the price. If there was ever a third game, the Dev should turn it into a Vampire Survivors like auto caster and it could be a huge hit. Leave the click attacks in as well. To my knowledge there is no Vampire Survivors like game that's also a clicker. A hybrid could be just what the genre needs.
