Shroom & Doom is a top-down tower-defense game where you play as a little robot that has crash landed on an alien planet. You must defeat waves of bug-like enemies and use the biomass they drop to build towers made from the local mushrooms. These towers are your only hope at defending yourself from the ever increasing onslaught of vicious enemies
- Defend yourself against waves of increasing intensity
- Face off against three unique enemies
- Use biomass obtained from the local fauna to grow your own defensive towers
- Play again and again to get farther and beat your highscore
This game was developed as a student project at DigiPen Institute of Technology and was created for educational purposes only. Please check out our publisher page for more information.

Have I beaten the game already in less than a half hour? Yes. Was it the most nerve-racking, most toe-curling, most ass-sweating 10 minutes of my life? Absolutely. This game is strides above tears of the kingdom, and the cinematic masterpiece that is the art for this game is an uncountable number of level's above the Barbie movie.

Pretty fun little game. I saw some reviews saying the game opened into a weird resolution, but I did not have that problem and I have a completely normal monitor.
As far as the gameplay goes, it's simple and great :)
the music is a bop, the graphics are pretty nice, and the sfx are funny, although lose novelty fast.
Two QoL changes that drastically effect how the game is played: using tab to open the buy menu is fine, but it's a little hard to hit tab while moving with WASD. Changing the buy menu to space or mouse2 would've been a better choice, imo, because it doesn't force you to stop going a certain direction in order to open it. Another thing, the avatar moves way too slow to have the point orbs disappear after an amount of time. I get that other games do this and it encourages you to move around a lot, but it gets really annoying when I am physically incapable of getting two orbs that are far enough apart that going for one sacrifices the other. Either adding an upgrade or buffing base speed should fix this problem.
