Seduce Me 2: The Demon War
I was supposed to be happy. I was supposed to get married to the man I loved.
Why am I in the Demon World!?
—-
Seduce Me 2: The Demon War is the sequel to the popular free-to-play otome game, Seduce Me the Otome. It follows the story of Mika Anderson as she is suddenly thrown into the Abyssal Plains right before she is about to be married to one of the five Incubi Brothers featured in the first game. What’s even worse is that she is thrown there in the middle of a Rebellion against the Evil Demon Lord and must not only assist Diana and the Rebel Leaders in the war, but must watch as the man she loves fights alongside them after he comes to rescue her.

Michaela Laws understands the assignment when it comes to otome. I'll just be over here holding out for a 3rd one...

(If any of this sounds like Ai, no it doesn't, I'm just autistic and I phrase things in a specific way to appease my brain.)
I played this game for the first time back in 2015 when I was just a freshman in high school. Absolutely loved the first game too so much so that I even have 90% of the blooper reels memorized! I can't play either games now without hearing the voice actors in my head either accidentally messing up the lines or saying something hilarious as I read the story. (Jonah Scott and his d@mn green apple always cracks me up)
This game really healed a part of me as a young teen. I was a hopeless romantic band nerd who wanted an escape from the horrors of dating in high school, and in this game I was shown a brilliant story about not only love, but a courage that at the time didn't seem imaginable. I understand that this is just a game, but these 5 beautiful incubi and absolutely stunning succubus have taught me that I deserve happiness.
Michaela Laws wrote an absolutely amazing story for each character and each of their bad endings will never fail to make me ball my eyes out all over again 11 years later. As I replay this story, now as an adult, I'm falling in love with each character again just like I did back then, deeply mesmerized by the amount of love put into this game. Christopher Escalante's phenomenal soundtrack lives on my Spotify playlist for road trips to this day, and I will continue to pause my reading of the story just to listen to each character's track a million times.
In my unprofessional opinion, this game is an absolute work of art 11 years later. Trust my words through my 77+ hours of playing this game and 74+ on the first game.

My opinions of each route, in order of how I usually play them: (Warning: potential spoilers?)
Sam - ABSOLUTE GOAT, the brute will always be the best story line and character arc of any dating sim out there and I will die on that hill for the rest of my life! Sam's story makes perfect sense to be the canon route and I would play his story a million times over with zero shame if it means that I get to hear him call the player "doofus" twenty times. Sam is my all time favorite character and I love how gentle he secretly is, he has the best demon form and perfectly written spicy scenes. Alejandro Saab brings Sam to life in the most amazing Dragon Ball Z way and is very complimentary to his title as the Lord of Dragons. Carrie is the luckiest lady alive anytime I play any of the other incubi's story lines, and despite my aching heart I love knowing that he has a fantastic wife when I'm not married to him. Brute dating sim characters with phenomenally written character arcs and tragic backstory's will always have my heart.
Matthew - Absolutely would be tied for #1 if he did not have the same name as my dad, makes it weird every time I play, I literally have to call him by Zecaeru the entire play through to keep my sanity. Nevertheless, the best gamer, nerdy, ball-of-joy, sweetheart of a husband you could ever want! Ethan Nakashima is the perfect voice actor for him and makes "Evil Matthew" incredibly hard to hate, I love his bloopers very much! His wifey, Noryn, has the prettiest name and literally compliments him perfectly and I love that their game sprites look like they're holding hands! However, I will never unhear the phrases "twilight tango" or "sensual salsa" again and be normal about it.
Damien - Soft, sweet, soft-spoken, can't handle his liquor Damien. Man of few words when you're not in his route, but during his story line I never want him to stop talking, he is a breath of fresh air and written so beautifully! Some of the BEST bloopers come from Jonah Scott and I will always love the depth that he brought to Damien's character, his voice acting during the bad ending and gut-wrenching scenes never fail to make me bawl like a baby. Twila is the CUTEST wifey and I know that Damien is going to treat her like a princess for the rest of their lives, no doubt about it.
Erik - I can't play his story without hearing "Icky-man" a million times a second and I regret nothing. I'm also not someone who necessarily loves overly-flirtatious dating sim characters, but Erik takes the cake for being THE literal gentleman worthy of his flirty nature. His backstory in the first game made TOO MUCH SENSE and really brought depth to a character arc that I was worried about being reminiscent of other games. Christopher Escalante voices him beautifully, and Erik's wifey Irene being a demon was both unexpected and perfect. She is definitely a lady of high-class and sophistication and deserves to be spoiled by the love Erik gives.
James - One "word", BDSM. If he didn't correct my grammar in LITERALLY the FIRST FIVE MINUTES of Seduce Me: The Otome maybe I would like him more but no he had to correct the player saying "Incubuses". Great guy, I love how much he loves his brothers but wtf James. Unforgivable. I'm ashamed to say I like his story the least but maybe that's just me being the kind of person who says "cactuses" and "octopuses" for fun and hates being corrected on that. Jokes half aside, Iridessa better strap in for the ride of her life with James and I wish those nerds the absolute best nights of their lives. Bradley Gareth has ABSOLUTELY memorable bloopers and his incredibly voice acting is what gets me through James' story.
Diana - An ethereally gorgeous succubus voiced by the creator of Seduce Me herself, Michaela Laws, YES PLEASE! I immensely love the story of Diana even through the other characters' story lines, her and Saero deserve eternal happiness in every lifetime. Without going into too much detail on her backstory I can't imagine her constant internal struggles throughout the demon war. Diana is the ultimate baddie and I would follow her to the ends of the earth if she asked, her story is written with so much love in every word and the canon ending in Sam's route hurts very much. Every. Single. Time. My final opinion to end this off, I would pay good money for Diana Scooby Doo, if you know, you know.

Absolutely love this game and I keep coming back when I need a moment to feel wanted. Men written by women are truly amazing creatures.

Absolute peak classic. 10/10 would recommend.
Played this when I was 14 (I know, tragic.) I'm 21 now and it still slaps. Holy nostalgia.
Shoutout to Michaela Laws and her team.
