Sanctum 2
Sanctum 2 is the sequel to the world’s first Tower Defense/FPS hybrid game. Pick from four unique character classes and embark on a mission to protect the oxygen-producing Cores from hordes of deadly aliens who are threatened by their existence. Outfit your character exactly the way you want through the new and extensive customization system. Choose your own loadout of towers, weapons and perks, but choose wisely because you are humanity’s last defense against the unrelenting hordes set out to destroy it.
Sanctum 2 is a new game completely rebuilt from the ground up using community feedback and innovative design to really push the bar of what an independent studio can do.Intense Action – Deep Strategy
In Sanctum 2, you will utilize elements from multiple gameplay genres to succeed. Construct towers and walls during the building phase before the enemies attack, then jump into the fray and blast everything to pieces in FPS mode. You can progress through the single-player campaign yourself, or play with up to four friends in co-op to discover the secrets of the planet LOEK III and learn the backstory on why the aliens are so intent on destroying the Cores you are sworn to protect.Key Features

Every day I pray for Sanctum 3. It still runs well despite its age and is incredibly fun. The art style in the comics is so good please make Sanctum 3

Recently 100%-ed the game. What can I say, this is a gem of a game. I've never played a first person shooter which is also tower defence game before playing this game.
For a game released in 2013, the graphics holds up pretty well in 2025. There is still a small die-hard population still playing this game. I met some good people from the the public games.
The main game has 4 stages. Each stage has 4 levels each. So the game can be a little short. I recommend you to pick up the DLC's. Especially, because there are some towers/weapons only available (unlocked) via the DLC's. And these towers increase the fun.
I would recommend anyone wanting to play this game to pick up the game and DLC's on sale. I paid less than £5 on a sale and got hours worth of fun.
Coffee Stain Studios... it's time you gave the people Sanctum 3

One of my favorite tower defense games as it mixes strategy with action. However, after having done all maps on the hardest difficulty I had to, not only find, but suffer through hours of finding and completing what probably are the worst arcade games I've ever seen (or they are trolling their customers) in order to get 100% achievements. Made me irate af. Will recommend the game though for people who enjoy tower defense and don't care about steam achievements.
Tower defense: 10/10
Achievements: 2/10

Really fun, casual gameplay loop where you blast mobs (who explode very satisfyingly) and then get little breathers to set up your towers. The characters and perks feel different enough to provide some variety, and leveling up/unlocking new stuff gives you something to work toward without going fully into RPG territory. I really love the way reloading works in this game, and the way TSYGAN having a damage boost on the last shot in the mag smartly subverts it.
It was fun at 13 and still fun at 26.

An old game I used to play with friends. I recently tried it again and was pleasantly surprised to see that people are still playing it. I’d say this game is old but gold. It can be quite challenging and the controls are a bit meh, but it gives off such strong nostalgia once you start playing again. Now I just need to convince my friends to jump back in too.
The game ran smoothly, though you’ll need to adjust the resolution at the beginning.
