Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

I still remember the first time Jack Baker walked into the room.
At that point I was slowly working my way through the house. Opening drawers, checking corners, trying to stay quiet while those strange noises kept coming from somewhere in the walls.
Then Jack appears and suddenly the house doesn’t feel like a level anymore. It feels like someone else's home and you're the one who shouldn’t be there.
From that moment on every step through the Baker house feels tense. Even simple things like opening a door start to feel risky.
By the end I realized I had been on edge for most of the game.

mission accomplished, brother! finally finished the game my best friend sent me as a gift before he passed away... I had such a hard time with it due to the motion sickness but managed to complete it somehow, I'm glad I did! you'll forever be missed, rest in peace man

Such a horror masterpiece.
Playing through RE9 got me in the mood to replay RE7. Played it on consoles on release and was one of the creepiest games I played back then. Even knowing all the jump scares the atmosphere is still creepy as heck. Been a fun ride to experience again!

Wife cut my arm off with a chainsaw in the first 10 mins of the game then some random bimbo put it back on with a classroom stapler. 10/10 game.

Resident Evil 7 is so good it's actually stupid.

The Baker family is easily one of the best parts of the entire series. Every time one of them showed up I knew something bad was about to happen. The house is creepy, the atmosphere is great, and the game somehow keeps making simple things feel stressful.

Also, Ethan deserves way more love than he gets. The amount of stuff this guy goes through in this game is insane. By the end I was more worried about him than I was about the monsters.

The game looks great, the horror is great, the pacing is great. There's really not much else to say.

I wish I could erase all the game from my mind just to play it for the first time again. Masterpiece.

Game that restarted the Resident Evil franchise, at first some people were skeptic if it is even still a resident evil game, but Capcom proved them wrong with brand new RE engine.
