VR or Not, This Is Still Mid
Extremely mid FPS game. I guess the main selling point is that you can play it in VR, but I don’t care at all about that, so for me it’s just mid.
The game is an arena shooter, but it lacks any interesting movement mechanics. There’s no strafe jumping like in Quake, no double jumping or dodging like in Unreal Tournament. Instead, you just have standard running and jumping, which makes the whole experience feel bland for an arena shooter. I can understand why they avoided advanced movement - fast, chaotic motion wouldn’t be comfortable in VR - but that raises an important question: why even make an arena shooter in VR in the first place? VR is terrible for rapid camera movement, which is basically a core feature of the genre. This honestly feels like one of the worst genres you could choose for a VR game.
The game is essentially dead, though you can still play against bots and earn all achievements. One thing that really annoyed me was the match setup. When selecting maps, game modes, and match options, changing values with the keyboard simply DOESN’T WORK. For example, if you type a number to change the kill limit and then start the match, the game ignores it. You have to manually click the arrow buttons next to the settings for them to actually apply. This just screams lazy or sloppy programming.
Another issue showed up while I was grinding the “win 100 matches” achievement. After finishing a map, you get a vote screen where you’re supposed to choose between four different maps. Except sometimes two or even three of those options are the exact same map. So instead of four choices, you’re really choosing between three or two. What’s the point of having four slots if the same map can occupy most of them? Once again, it feels like a lack of polish.
As for the gameplay itself - did I have fun? Kind of, yeah. Shooting bots is always at least somewhat enjoyable. My favorite map was DM-Castle, which reminded me of The Camping Grounds from Quake, even though it felt like a poor man’s version of it. Still, it was easily the best map in the game, and spawn-killing bots with a sniper rifle there was pretty satisfying.
5/10 - A very mid FPS that offers a few hours of fun if you’re just grinding achievements. Be prepared for technical annoyances during match setup. It took me about four hours to unlock everything.

A slick and fast-paced arena shooter with clean movement and classic FPS energy. Fun for quick competitive matches.
