This is probably my favorite game of all time. (It's either first, or else second behind Kerbal Space Program). My daughter and I have logged over 500 hours in this game. It's basically Minecraft with a single-player campaign and better graphics, and you can build just about any structure your mind can imagine. We've made castles, cathedrals, modest houses, mansions, and even an entire city where we built a house for every single movable character in the game. There's just so much variety in this game. It's almost impossible to be bored.

Portal Knights is basically a suped up Minecraft that has some structure and doesn't suck.
It's as if an open world RPG and Minecraft melded together, but it isn't as deep in either area as the two are on their own. You fight monsters to level up and progress a story, and you also craft items and build structures in an open sandbox.
It's a fun way to spend time if you like both of those things, but don't expect to spend thousands of hours going heavily into either area specifically.
Me and my wife’s boyfriend play it a lot, he absolutely adores Dragon Quest builders and honestly it's very much the same but with co-op. We've had a blast with it, the quests aren't anything deep, and the RPG elements are very light, but they are there and it's kept me playing.
I love RPGs but I'm not a fan of Minecraft or games in the genre to be honest whilst my other half’s boyfriend loves them, but this game has something for us both. I think we are up to something like 60 hours played and we've definitely had our 15 quids worth.
The armour crafting, and loot from the random dungeons is also really cool, plus vanity pets. The co-op is fun, you quest, build and fight boss' and monsters together.
I think overall, Portal Knights is severely underrated especially considering Minecraft’s popularity. It’s definitely as if Minecraft, WoW, and Skyrim had a low budget baby, so if you like any of those you should definitely give it a try.

This game is Amazing! I LOVE how creative this game is. It has a feel of Minecraft, where you have endless possibilities to build your ultimate world. The characters are like pre-school cartoony toys. There are so many things you can collect! Some of the blocks are more beautiful than Minecraft versions.
* Great opportunity to build whatever you desire!
* Graphics are adorable.
* Good assortment of classes to choose from with their own unique abilities.
* Easy to do quests.
* Many in game events to collect even more things.
* Many interesting Biomes to discover and gather from.
* No need to go to town when you can carry a merchant NPC with you to vendor your junk!
* You can even demolish the event structures to steal for later use!
And the not so good things...
* The Hard Mode Bosses are hard. It hurt so much trying to do the first one that I stayed away for a long time. I simply can't do them.
I only play single player games. I don't deal with the online versions. I bought all the content for this game and really enjoyed the Rifts and Relic Defense. They were challenging enough for me. And surprisingly when doing the rifts, you can steal blocks from there too! Just try not to get sidetracked or you will fail the rift!
I'm 50+ and still butt hurt about not being able to down the Hard mode boss. It's the only reason I don't have more hours on this game.

Portal Knights is an excellent action-adventure RPG that's a lot of fun to play. The game has a vast and open world to explore, with a variety of enemies and bosses to fight. The controls are tight and responsive, and the game has a good difficulty curve that keeps things challenging but not frustrating.
One of the standout features of Portal Knights is its character customization system. The game has a number of different classes to choose from, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles. You can also customize your character's appearance and gear, allowing you to create your own unique hero. It's a fun and innovative gameplay mechanic that adds a lot of depth to the game.
The graphics in Portal Knights are excellent, with detailed character models and environments. The game's music and sound effects are also top-notch, adding to the atmosphere.
One downside to Portal Knights is that the game can be a bit repetitive. You'll be doing a lot of the same actions over and over again, and the levels can start to feel a bit samey after a while. That being said, the game has a high replay value, and you'll probably find yourself coming back to it again and again.
Overall, Portal Knights is an excellent action-adventure RPG that's a lot of fun to play. Its character customization, vast open world, and excellent graphics make it a game that's worth checking out. The occasional repetitive gameplay can be a bit of an issue, but it doesn't really impact the overall enjoyment of the game. If you're a fan of action-adventure RPGs, you should definitely give Portal Knights a try.

Good game. Simple and fun, without all the building restrictions you get in games like Valheim or 7D2D. I'm not really sure i would call this a survival game though, since there are no food mechanics or anything like that. It's pretty easy to escape enemies and hide from them. Definitely nice for just chilling and playing.
