Pilgrims

I will buy anything by Amanita Design, and you should too.

"Pilgrims" is a Point-and-Click exploration adventure Game.
You play as a Pilgrim (ig) and roam through the lands, make friends and help them. You roam through the lands, find new items/itemcards which you can use on most everything. You can solve the puzzles in multiple ways.
I liked the Artstyle and the Soundtrack.
It took me 1,8 hours to complete the game with all achievments. You have to rerun the game a few times to get all of them, i probably restartet 5 or 6 times?
I bought the game for 1,60€ (on Sale) and it was worth it.
It still was a good game, try it out!

I've probably played this game like 3 times and I still can't tell you what happens. The art style is amazing, the gameplay flows nicely, the humor is great-- I just cannot for the life of me tell you what is happening.

An unconventional love story
My introduction to the wacky minds housed at Amanita Design came from escorting a fuzzy dust bunny, Chuchel, on his quest to save his succulent cherry. Its non-sensical and witty comedic skits made sure I thoroughly enjoyed myself. So, after a while, it seems another Amanita Design game is on my menu — Pilgrims.
I went in blind, never even reading the store description. And I didn't need to. Seeing the Steam cover showcase a colourful group playing poker did the trick, and my curiosity was piqued. Thus, I was off — "I'm going on an adventure!" I thought, not actually said.
And this whimsical adventure starts with the north star, the Alpha and Omega — the hobo Tramp. A humble man, his only goal — ride the river's waves...somewhere.
Sadly, it must be a Monday because the ferryman has one helluva hangover, with the only cure the soothing chirping of a one-of-a-kind bird. Either that, or there's a bit of Nikola Tesla in him, seeking your aid in reuniting the separated pair. Whatever the case, Tramp skedaddles to find it, befriending many quirky characters along the way, even shaking hands with the hoofed man downstairs. And that's the premise that kicks off this silly adventure.
So, as you explore and interact with this kingdom's inhabitants, you'll slowly amass your own little posse, each bringing something the group sorely lacked and couldn't advance further without. The group's dynamic is closer to a symbiotic relationship, where both parties reap the benefits. So, you do something for them, and they do a few things for you — everybody wins. But don't expect them to stick around past the point of their own pursuit. That wasn't the deal shaken. You guys aren't the musketeers of Dumas, and there's no "One for all and all for one!" here.
"But what about the gameplay?" I assume you're asking. Well, Pilgrims is a point-and-click adventure where the freedom to approach solving puzzles in multiple ways is its greatest asset. There are plenty of items to find, items to mix and match while pondering what their best use is. And whatever I ended up deciding on, the product that followed was a barrel of laughs. This is true for all situations Tramp and his merry group partake in. They are just wonderfully entertaining and humorous skits.
However, I was a wee bit disappointed with one thing. Despite this bountiful freedom of approach to solving problems in front of me, in the end, the main puzzles always played out the same.
But as the saying goes, "It's about the journey, not the destination." So, as Pilgrims let me lose to hound its world and inhabitants with all my weird experiments until I find the solution, the climax playing out the same didn't ruin the overall experience. It's simply a small, darkish cloud that lonesomely floats on the horizon of a beautiful sunny day, spouting some naughty gibberish only Slavs will understand. That in-between, all those quirky steps you could take to solve any predicament, their subsequent effects, and the sagas you chiselled in stone, those moments made Pilgrims phenomenal.

A very fun game to play, I wish it'd have been longer, but it still enjoyable experience.

Pilgrims is a short little point in click meant to be played in one session. The art style is very cute, the sound design and voices were always giving me a chuckle. The puzzles aren't meant to be hard and never got frustrating. The game has some replayability with different options you may have not realized were even options when you get to the end choices log. It's a fun game meant to be played on a not so fun day. It brightened my mood and made my day a little bit easier. You couldn't ask for more for the sale price of $1.74.
Only downside I could come up with is that $7 retail is a tad bit steep for the amount of content. It's justifiable though as the developers deserve their cut for this cute adventure.
