Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul

I do recommend this game if you want to grab it while it's on sale very short game, it only takes like 30ish minutes to finish it if you know what you're doing. I don't recommend paying $20 not really worth it, when playing vr it's not optimized of course. The game is developed UE4 so it's pretty old like the ps4 version and the controls are very clucky, some times wherever you walk into it seem like there's an invisible barrier or you're having to fight with the door to open it and you accidently slam the door on your face lol. In none vr mode the graphics actually looks decent but the controls are sorta weird, you'll get the hang of it. I 100% the game although my last achievement "Tortured soul" glitched and didn't unlock T-T

Was never able to finish this game. Too scary in VR. Borderline lucid nightmare type of horror.

I was thinking a long time if I would give positive or negative review, i think its somewhere in the middle. I would definitelly not recommend this game for the full price, the story is short and counts on the longer progress, since there is really very easy to miss things that the game need you to do, since its heavily scripted that way, i was lost for long time with these things. On the other way if u forgive all of these things then u can actually make alternate ending or just enjoy the main story, which is not masterpiece, but i think this game is especially made for being scary in VR and i think it can be in non-VR too.
I wanted to play it as a fan of the Paranormal Activity movie, but i didnt found a lot in common, excluding the same house really.
Thankfully this VR game have non VR mode, but on the other hand controls are still like in VR mode, so it's not comfortable really.

It's an intriguing game that you want to finish to know what will happen, but it's also paired with issues of bugs (certain story necessary items not appearing- i'm looking at you 5 piece pentagon puzzle) & when you go to reboot game, it does not load up

You can't buy this game on steam anymore so i'm leaving this review for the people like me who have it in their library and are considering giving it a shot.
The (VR) game is decent, some of the visuals and ideas here and there are nice, i don't think it's THAT scary but some of the people here in the reviews seem to have lost their minds and soiled themselves playing it so you be the judge of that. Horror in VR hits different so it's nice to have these experiences so it's hard not to recommend the game. Sometimes it just takes a dark hallway to trigger that "i don't really wanna go there" feeling.
The game also has non-vr controls, i wouldn't recommend that, i feel like it would be very boring by non-vr game standards.
Movement is atrocious, one hand does the forward-backward motion and the other does left-right so sometimes it feels a bit janky trying to move around an open door to enter a room either by doing mind-numbing tank control maneuvering or holding forward and turning in place like an idiot. That was a bit frustrating to me.
The story is around 1 to 2 hours depending on how much time you waste trying the same locked doors in the wrong side of the house like me.
Price-wise i really wouldn't pay full price for this. Lowest price seems to have been around $2 and it's hard to argue against trying the game out when it's 2 bucks.
It's paranormal activity so don't expect the story to be mindblowing, if you're here you probably have the game already, give it a shot. It's a fun short horror vr game.

Zoinks Scoob! Like they really have Paranormal Activity in this house that's for sure! Aside from that it's a fun little horror game based on the Paranormal Activity Movies. Enjoyed It!
