PacaPomo
PacaPomo is a cozy productivity app where you raise alpacas and cultivate a farm, all driven by the Pomodoro Technique!
PacaPomo is an experimental cross between a productivity app and a farming game. Our objective is to create a cozy farming game for busy students and working professionals to play while going about their daily routines and responsibilities. The game revolves around using a Pomodoro Timer – a technique where a person sets a goal to focus for 25 minutes, and then break for 5 minutes, allowing for them to stick to a schedule and improve their concentration. This may be especially beneficial to those with ADHD, that thrive off gamifying chores and tasks.
PacaPomo provides rewards for completing Pomodoro Timers by progressing time on the farm and giving Sol – a currency solely used for adopting new alpacas and expanding the farm. New alpacas are unique, bespoke characters that have different personalities and stories. They are acquired randomly through adopting from the Alpaca Sanctuary, giving players a sense of excitement for each new addition to their farm.
Players are allowed to choose from a slider their focus and break times (25 – 150 minutes for focus, 5 – 30 minutes for break) and the rewards scale according to amount of time completed. We also have advanced options like adding long breaks, auto-switching to the next Pomodoro, and plan to add more features to our pomodoro to allow for as much player freedom and ease of use. There is also a report card that tracks daily, weekly, and monthly progress.
After completion of a Pomodoro work session, crops will grow, new Alpacas can be adopted, and the occasional event pops up for interaction. There are also terraces on the farm, which can be unlocked using PacaPomo’s currency which allow the player to expand their play space and unlock new mechanics and features – some include an orchard, a training gym, and a pond. We will continue developing the game past launch to add more activities, Alpaca characters, and farm progression, which will offer players engagement long-term.
In today’s fast-paced world, many struggle to balance work, responsibilities, and leisure time. PacaPomo aims to address this challenge by offering a free, fun and accessible way for people to relax and unwind while also being productive.

1) It's so cute
2) It's nice to have another theme than "European cityscape" for a study game/app (this one is peruvian/quechuan)
3) Being able to play with a small ranch in the resting time is giving me dopamine ; a lot of other app just give you a small visual reward, but it's only visual and it don't really feel like you did earn something ? With PacaPomo, I gain what to give to my alpacas and can help me interract with the NPC, I really like that

This game is amazing!!! i am a long time player of stardew valley and animal crossing and this game is like stardew valley but with productivity as your currency. The animation is also soooo cute. I have honestly used tons of apps like this on my phone and on steam and this is the best one! I actually found working addicting.

This game is really adorable! It makes it much easier to sit down and get started studying when I feel excited to level up my alpacas or grow my crops. It has enough tasks to make it engaging but not distracting. The art is very charming. I am really excited to see what the final game will be like. Anything that makes life tasks into a "game" is a huge win for busy or tired people.

I don't normally leave reviews on games, but this Pomodoro game ACTUALLY works for me. I've had trouble finding studying tactics all the way from elementary school through college and now studying for my teaching license exam. But this game actually motivates me to stay studying. I'd say it's like the productivity/studying version of the app Finch which is a gamified self care app. I've always had an obsession with llamas and alpacas, so taking care of my little alpaca buddies and leveling up in the game has been so exciting! The makers are also very responsive to questions and concerns. Highly recommend and am excited for the full release!

A cute and simple cozy game where you grow crops and take care of alpacas while doing task on the side. Game may not be everyone's cup of tea but I can see the appeal.

I've tried pomodoro timers previously and I thought they weren't for me. But from this app I realized I just hadn't found one that clicked with my needs. Having my focus times amount to something in-game is a great motivator when the task I'm doing is something I could care less for. The satisfaction I don't get from keeping these boring tasks is now found in expanding the farm, taking care of the alpacas, and completing orders. When I'm working on simpler tasks I like to have this game open on my second monitor to see the timer to also visually remind me to stay on task. It's productive and fun at the same time. Having the ticking sound was really helpful for reminding me to stay on track, and the various audio cues help me get into a routine of focusing and breaks. I also love that I can see the data of my previous sessions, especially if I properly tag my sessions. It's a great way to give the pomodoro method a try, make it fun, and help with setting boundaries between work time and play time.

I used this game to force myself off the couch in the middle of an important time in my career! Neat concept, that I hope they expand on !
