Great hidden object scenes, dozens of small stories to keep the player continuously invested, astonishing graphics… if Mystery Castle wouldn’t last this short, it could have been a perfect hidden object game.
Long version:
Whatever you are looking for in a hidden object game—good hidden object scenes, large puzzle variety, beautiful artwork, or writing that creates a memorable atmosphere and manages to keep the player interested—Mystery Castle: The Mirror’s Secret has it all, except for one thing: game length.
While the premise is clichéd—a mysterious dark entity kidnaps a child, and we play as the mother trying to save her—the story itself is a series of one-room scenarios, where we meet a ghost, help them, and they aid us in continuing forward.
These levels usually have the same setup: a hidden object scene at the start, standard item gathering and puzzles as the main task, and replaying the hidden object scene at the end. It is predictable, but the levels offer a huge variety in tasks, and they never run out of steam, they never drop in quality.
One small issue though, the reason for the not-perfect score: the game is short. Incredibly short. While it lasts, it is great, but that only lasts for 2-3 hours maximum.

5.0/10 - If You’ve Played One... You've Played Them All! This One!!
This entertained me and I finished the complete story; for that reason alone I have to rate this positive. The game overall is pretty mediocre to the core. There must be a hidden object template out there where you simply insert your own content; or at least that's what it seems like. The storyline is pretty weak, graphics are average but the hidden object elements were nicely done and that's why I really play these games.
You play as a mother who must scour the land in search of your kidnapped daughter. You will make your way through tons of maps, puzzles, hidden object games and more. Will you have the wit and resolve to defeat the Soul Reaver and save your daughter from the clutches of evil?
Worth about $3; I wouldn't pay more than $1/hr for average gameplay!

Casual hidden object game about ghosts in mystery castle. It has linear plot, pretty graphics (although it isn't perfect). There is no mature content, it's definitely suitable for all ages. 3 hours is enough to complete it on hard difficulty with no hints whatsoever.
Don't expect very original plot or puzzles. It's just a decent, relaxing, definitely casual, short game.

I'am surprised by the quality of this game! It's the perfect point and click for a calm time or to show to your mother. With languages, tutorials and beautiful art and music.

First of all thie games story was pretty interesting and I got my money out of it which I bought in a bundle and it came out to be like .30 cents in all. The only thing I had a problem with is it seemed like the ending was hurried. Maybe they had to hurry up and ship and the cash was running out. Good fun puzzle with hidden objects game.

Short Hidden Object Game about a mother trying to save her daughter from an evil spirit. There isn't a map, you'll have to solve the puzzles and HO scenes of each location to proceed, so no backtracking. Graphics are nice, the entire game has a slightly "horror" setting and this is a good change from most HOGs on Steam, unfortunately the cutscenes and the few dialogues are nothing special. Achievements are in-game only, 4 difficulty settings, sadly there isn't a bonus chapter or other extras like similar games but I still recommend this one, especially if you find it on sale (I got it with a bundle).

My only issue with this game has been the sheer inaccuracy of the things hidden in the puzzles. A funnel is NOT a watering can, and an x-ray film is NOT a recipe, for example. Sadly, this is a common occurance in every HOG I've played to date.
