MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE
Welcome back recruit! MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE is a frantic VR FPS roguelite where players craft powerful hand-held weapons and struggle to survive — er defeat — the MOTHERGUNSHIP. Experience room scale movement*, dodging, limbo-ing and even relishing the satisfaction of literally punching through clouds of bullets, all while perfecting your weapon masterpiece.
Survive the MOTHERGUNSHIP’s metal minions and earn gun parts to add to your weapon, easily picking them up and snapping them into place in VR. You’ll choose from a wild array of distinct gun parts and upgrades like chainguns, railguns, and pizza launchers (yes, explosive pizzas) to forge hell-ish combinations. Design your weapon, then destroy the MOTHERGUNSHIP fleet as alien machines, explosive traps, metal pests, and deadly bosses do everything they can to blast you and your weapon back to square one.
*MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE includes accessibility modes to support all players. Seated-mode enables stationary gameplay, and free movement mode enables the player character to dodge with the controller. More accessibility information can be found in the game’s settings.
*MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE supports Meta Quest 2, Valve Index, HTC Vive, and HP Reverb G2.

each run takes around 20-30 mins
selecting non-default modes like Brawler(fists only modifier) can be considered as a good alternative to your gym membership

This has an almost Lego/Minecraft/ meets a VR robot shooter. You have a Circle, and have to doge incoming fire from small robots similar to Space Pirate Trainer, how ever this has alot more guns and you can mount guns to rail systems, modify them. mix n match, and have several. It's alot of fun!

highly recommend this game if you just want to get to the action of vr and shoot things, the guns remind me of ratchet & clank with how ridiculously over the top guns can be in this game, and being able to dodge bullet by moving my head around is cool.
the only probably I have with this game is my valve index controllers are kinda bad at gripping, so grabbing and moving attachments can be annoying but only a minor problem because you do stuff like that out of combat and punching robots isn't something I ever do because shooting them always seems better.
haven't tried this in co-op, so I have no idea how well that works.

Son and I play the flat screen version and got this on sale mostly expecting it to be one we keep in our library just for novelty. it's actually tons of fun!! exceeds expectations!!! the same great gun(s) building mechanic of the flat but with great immersion, surprisingly fun movement, and challenging gameplay. it also has the wit and humor of the flat which is awesome. A++ guys, thanks!! (i need a shower now!)

Wave shooters obviously are what VR was made for, and it takes a good one to rise above the many that have already been churned out and MGSF is the best I've played, especially for its co-op functionality. The roguelike structure and different game modes prevent it from getting stale, and learning the nuances of how each part and game mode work especially in multiplayer are very satisfying. The end game where bullets are flying around and your synergy is fully online is the most fun. This is THE co op VR shooter.

One of the best, if not hte best 2-player co-op VR game there is. It's a roguelike in which you clear a room, choose an upgrade as a reward, then choose which type of room to go next and repeat until you make it to a boss. After boss there's a different style of rooms with a different boss at the end. Your character is mostly stationary - you have a circle area you can move around to avoid bullets and enemies shoot at you from distance or charge at you.
The main feature of the game is building your own weapons. You get modules as rewards for clearing the rooms and attach them to your connectors however you want. If you play co-op, you can also give parts to your friend or take some from them. There are also game modes which modify how the weapon building works or what you get at the beginning. Or you can even save your builded weapon after a run and use them is a specific game mode.
