The Burrow Miner League is the most popular sport in R&D Mine, and all 14-year-old Penny wants is to claim the Burrow League Champion title from her big sister Coppra. To do so, Penny needs to leave home, explore R&D Mine, defeat the six Burrow League Captains, and finally face her sister in the ultimate battle!
Mole Maiden is a brand-new 2D Action Adventure inspired by 16-bit classics like Pokemon, Metroid, and Punch-Out. Mole Maiden is a 2D based game to which you attempt to become the Burrow League Champion! You'll fight your way through various enemies/boss battles & much more in this bizarre yet incredibly well done Indie game. I'm not entirely certain how many developers created this but I believe it to be a small team.
Whilst I only played one hour of this game, it felt fluent, intriguing, enjoyable from start to finish of my experience and had me laughing on multiple occasions at the odd & silly humour in all the best ways possible. I absolutely yearn for some comedy in games time to time and this has exactly that. They did an excellent job.
I definitely would like to check this out in the future and play through the entire game when I have more time. - Grab the demo, check it for yourself. It's different but in good ways, especially if you love indie games and trying something new!

Mole Maiden is a really fun time!! The movement feels really clean and there are some really creative sections and boss fights. The only real negative point I have is that the game is unfortunately more than a little buggy, with some softlocks here and there. Thankfully, they're not bad enough to detract from the experience too much!

Fantastic game, with a surprising amount of content! Mole Maiden is really fun! I love the different power ups, the movement, and the combat! The music is also phenomenal! When you get to the city, it hits you with something right out of a sonic game, which is always welcome! At the scale this game is, there are a handful of rough edges, but its got plenty of charm to win me over, and Its clear the devs are still active. I only got *too* lost once, but I was able to reach out to the devs, describe where I was at, and they were able to point me in the right direction. The bossfights at times can be a real challenge, but most of them are fair, just be prepared to die a few times, and you'll still have a great time. I also really liked how the story plays into the different areas at times; at one point you're stuck in a zone trying to get money, kind of like that sequence in Super Paper Mario, and anything that reminds me of that game has to be good lol.
TLDR: Good game made by a smaller team that I find absolutely charming, and surprisingly rich with content!
