Step into the boots of Boyd Travers, Private First Class of the “All-American” 82nd Airborne Division, and revolutionize the way the war is fought. From a rocky beginning in Sicily to war winning triumphs in the heart of Germany, fight the epic WWII battles that turned America’s first paratroopers into combat legends. Begin each mission from the air and behind enemy lines, then jump immediately into the action. On the ground, tackle objectives in any order across an expansive, free-roaming environment, using a wide variety of upgradeable weapons to your strategic advantage.

It's a great WWII shooter and has a few unique systems like weapon upgrades, choosing your own spawn point in the battlefield but sadly the game is de-listed from store and only legit way to play is through EA play subscription.

Where parachuting into enemy territory is like trying to land gracefully at a wedding after a few too many cups of coffee. This game turns World War II heroics into an airborne comedy where your biggest challenge isn't storming enemy bunkers but trying to convince your squadmates that yes, landing on a haystack was totally intentional. From strategic jumps to debating whether the best way to distract enemy snipers is with a clever quip or just throwing a potato at them, Medal of Honor: Airborne reminds you that even in the heat of battle, a well-timed joke can be the difference between victory and having to explain to your commanding officer why you brought a cat to the front lines. Just remember, in this game, every mission is a chance to prove that bravery and a good sense of humor are the ultimate weapons against tyranny.

Hey! This game is fantastic. It is a WWII tactical combat game where you play one character called Boyd Travers. Your character is sent on different parachute missions around Europe. Each mission is one level of game play. There is not much story development going on, but there is a mission briefing section shown on overhead projectors in the briefing room, at the beginning of each level. If you did not catch everything in the briefing room, then you can still check the mission objectives in the in-game menu, and the HUD radar also indicates where the objectives are located.
Each mission begins with a parachute jump and you can guide the parachute to land anywhere, either on the ground, on roofs or through windows, but areas marked by the green smoke are considered the safest, away from enemy fire. Parachute landings can be either 'greased' (success) or 'botched' (kind of a fail). 99% of the time I botch my landings, as I found it difficult to land 'properly'. It hardly matters as far as game play is concerned, as a botched landing doesn't lead to loss of health.
This game is a team co-op game, where the friendly NPCs join in helping you secure the mission objectives. If I remember rightly, this was one of the earliest games to include such a feature. In practice, the AI is virtually non-existent, which is typical of games of that era, it just meant that the NPCs rarely did little more than provide covering fire, while you were the hero that actually completed the missions.
The enemy NPCs also did not have much AI governing them, and again this is typical of games of that era - but some of the enemy NPCs are quite good sharpshooters, so you always have to be careful where you poked your head out from behind cover. Indeed, for me, much of the game is about finding which angle of attack would be best way to approach the enemy troops. Sometimes, the enemy had narrow roads covered, which meant a grenade or a battle charge is needed to clear the area. Other occasions, you could snipe them off, if you had a rifle equipt on you. In fact, some of the enemy NPCs are such good sharpshooters, I found myself shouting "SWINES!!" at the monitor, every time they caught me unawares and knocked my health down substantially.
If your character died, you started back with another parachute jump. Under such circumstances, some of the NPCs would re-populate areas you had already cleared out, but you would not have lost any mission objectives that you had already accomplished. The game automatically saves after an objective has been achieved. You can do manual saves, but it seems to do no more than save the last objective anyway, so I wondered what the point was. Sometimes, it took a while to progress between save points, that it became quite hair-raising in trying to achieve the next objective. Objectives are geographically located, meaning that they can be achieved in what order suits you. If the objective gets tough, you could always abort it, and find an easier one on the radar, although it is common to go for the mission objective that is nearest to where you land.
At the end of each mission you get awarded stars for your performance, and these stars go towards earning medals. There are only six medal categories in total, and these are the only in-game achievements. There are no Steam achievements for this game, which is typical for games of this era. There is also a stats page, which shows you number of shots fired/number of hits and number of times died, etc.
On the whole I really enjoyed the game. I am not really a military buff, but I found the game quite nostalgic, hair-raising and it includes enough randomness to make the game immensely replayable - I would consider it a classic game!

Although buggy as hell. This game was meant to be played on its hardest difficulty. Where you die in one hit. I don't fault the game, it's moreso the bad port to PC. The bugs really only affect immersion. Other than that, no amount of bugs makes it harder to play. Just kill and don't die. Play it on it's hardest difficulty, it's worth it!
Also not to forget the medal system regarding weapons. Makes you want to play it again and again until you have every weapon fully upgraded. So trying to beat it multiple times on the hardest difficulty is fun!
