I play a lot of HOG type games. This one has an interesting set of stories that are all kind of loosely tied together in the main game, but are more tightly knit during the bonus chapter. Still..the story overall could've been better.
Pros:
1. Map shows you where you've got objectives to do
2. Map allows teleport
3. Minigames aren't too difficult, but still challenging enough to be interesting.
4. Achievements in the game. If you don't find all the collectibles during the game (and it's easy to miss them in a few scenes where the game hurries along), you can go back later after the game is done and find those pieces you missed.
5. Extras include a puzzle mode (putting together puzzles specifically), soundtrack, concept art, collectibles, an "ultimate hidden object game," character bios, and wallpapers.
6. Options allow you to choose how difficult you want the game to be.
Cons:
1. Some of the HOG's are pixel hunt messes where the object you're looking for is tucked under something else and only a tiny part is showing.
2. Portions of the story felt weaker than they could've been. Honestly, instead of trying to tell 3 different mini-stories, it might've been better to stick with 1 or 2 that cohesively worked together.
3. No Steam achievements (boo)
4. Some of the RPG elements (Choose to do A or do B) are just unnecessary. There's only 1 choice that's going to work and more often than not, there's no real problem if you didn't make the right choice. You can just choose again.
5. It doesn't matter how well you play a couple of the stories, certain characters die anyway. That felt like bull. Why play the stories at all then? Just do a cut scene. Otherwise, if you played that story correctly, the character shouldn't be dead. It feels like a waste of time otherwise.
6. Jump scares. Can we all just stop with that garbage now? It's not scary anymore. It's just annoying. It isn't even a good thing in normal horror shows/movies, so it might be time for game companies to move on from it as a thing.
Anyway, despite all of my "issues" with it, I did appreciate the art style and liked some of the game. In general, it's not a bad way to spend a few hours.

At last a HOG that doesn't have fairies, magic goblins or recipes for potions of one sort or another.
I liked this, a less formulaic story line, medium hard HO scenes, selectable mini-game difficulty and appropriate soundtrack all make this a bit different from the norm. Although played with no hints or skips the game lasted a decent length of time was a real change from the usual.

I found it entertaining to do. It was good for a Big Fish game. I liked it and would use it again. The graphics are good and it had a good setup for the stories that you each did. It was worth the buy.

Standard quality hidden-object game from Mad Head, this time with a horror twist. However, Maze: Subject 360 was slightly better and the best HOPA on the market is still True Fear.

I give this game a big two thumbs up. I enjoyed this game very much. If you are the "jumpy" kind of person you may want to grab your chair, nothing too hectic but enough to keep alert. I liked the characters and the story line was great, it kept me entertained. The bonus chapter picks up right where the main story finished (something that I do prefer) There is the usual hint button, collectables and skip button. The graphics are wonderful and I actually liked the music (I mute a lot of games) There are no bugs and the game play is smooth. Thank you to all the devs that put this together, I myself had fun and I recommend it. I enjoyed it that much that I am going to see if there is a part 2. Thanx
