Mason: Building Bricks
Mason is pure sandbox and more of a toy simulator than a game. You don’t have to work toward achieving any goals or grind resources. Just build as much as your heart desires. You can build anything from a small structure to a large city or even multiple cities in a single scene.
Animated figures will bring life to your builds and help you to forge a story and role-play.Infinite Buildable Area
There is no limit to the buildable area. You can build anything, anywhere on an infinite plane. You start by selecting a biome and the world will be procedurally generated.Layering System
The layering system allows you to access and view the inner parts of your structures.Lots of Unique BricksBuild with over 1000 unique bricks. The basic bricks collection contains generic shapes that can be used in any setting. Other collections contain bricks, furniture, and figures that are based on a theme. You can construct any shape and decorate structures with extensive collections of bricks and figures.Modify Brick’s MaterialYou can apply color and materials such as wood, metal and stone to each brick.Top-Down and First-Person ModesThe top-down camera gives you full control while building structures. first-person mode lets you explore the environment from close range.

The game is as advertised. You build, build, and build more. If you expect anything else, you will be disappointed. Overall, a relaxing experience.

This is an extremely well made sandbox. Very clean and simple, it look's great. I think a co op multiplayer support would really make this special. I feel like we need a castles set too.

A great classic.
A block builder: the sandbox by definition!
Please note that Mason is not a video game where you need to manage resources or achieve goals. It takes a lot of planning and patience but the only limit is your own imagination.
At the moment the theme is very biased towards antiquity and the Greek-Roman period.
Developers will most likely add new blocks and features soon.
Recommended for those players who really like builders and prefer to relax while building their own world.

I recommend it if you like a building game that takes to master. It is truly nice and so on but still to difficult for me. No problem to download it and so on!

Okay I just got this and I have to say it is AMAZING. Being able to build what I want, however I want, and it looks good? This game is more like a program and you can easily build whatever buildings you need for whatever reason, mine is stories, which you can build fantastic looking fantasy buildings and huts and whatever you can think of. Thank you to the people that put this together, this is something I've been looking for for a long time. And it's not like Minecraft either, looks better, obviously, builds way simpler, it's really amazing. I don't normally give out this much praise for games in reviews but this game definitely deserves it.
Edit: I did get this on sale for about $3, I don't know if it's worth the full price? $20 seems a bit much for it, but I would recommend getting it on sale, 50% off or higher.

LATEST EDIT: Thanks for the reply from the dev. Even I haven't play the game since then, I'll turn this to recommend as a support and leave the original reply for reference
Excellent game idea, good-looking building once you have managed to build it with the horrible blocks-locating system, good for creating buildings using great diversity of materials
However, the building mechanism are troublesome. Even I find the 'F' hotkey to fix height, it is still too difficult to locate a block precisely. It is difficult in choosing the first and the second block
Much worse, it seems that whenever you have chosen an area of building to move, you could never cancel this without make the area disappeared or forced to be moved elsewhere. I hope there is undo and redo function, not only for moving but for all actions. I have lost a foundation of the building when making a Roman style building which I have spent 10 mins. All gone
At this moment, I can't recommend this game as you might get angry when placing blocks precisely. Once you made this, you might lost your progress if you don't want to place selected blocks to move elsewhere (because it is very difficult to place it back, given the horrible placing system) when you want to move it.
This game would be awesome and would be a hidden gem if these problems solved. But with these problems, you may feel awful
I hope these problems will be solved and then we could enjoy building inside it. I did enjoy making classical building with simplistic mechanism from this game which is quite rare as far as I know
Edit: I have found that there is a undo key "Ctrl + Z"; however it seems that in the game there is no introduction of this, even in the tutorial. Tutorial did mentioned the rotate key. I found the undo key in the update news in Steam.
