Worth playing just for Face of the Franchise mode.
The writing even worse than your girlfriend’s favorite Netflix series.
Worth $15.

A lot of people give this game heat, and that is justified, for yearly Madden players, this is likely not much of an upgrade from previous games with the exception of roster updates, couple bug fixes, and new animations.
However, for players like me, who buys Madden every few years whenever a sale happens, this is a worthy buy, but I do not feel it is worth $60, more along the lines of $30-$40 makes sense to me. I mostly play offline modes like franchise and career mode, I do not much ultimate team or online exhibition, but from what I have played of MUT, it is grindy, and extremely pay to win, which is a turn off for me.
All in all, if you're someone who gets Madden on a yearly basis upon launch day, I don't think this game is for you. The last Madden I had before 21 was Madden 18, and there are little differences, but enough to make it worth a fresh start with the new roster updates and animations. If you're like me, who plays the new game every few years when I find it on sale, it's a pretty solid deal.

I, personally, enjoy the franchise mode of this game.
That said, I do not *think* this is that good of a game. But for PC players, we don't have a lot of football/NFL options. I would *only* recommend this game if you haven't played a Madden game since 2016ish. It'll feel a bit new and worthwhile. And if you have a good imagination and can make your own storylines and such in Franchise mode.
I do not give a shit about MUT or anything else and will never try those modes.
I recommend the game if you haven't played a Madden in a good few years, and/or didn't have access to Madden due to it not existing on PC for years.
Otherwise, pass.

A long long time ago Id get every Madden that came out, then that slowed down as I got older. The last "new" Madden I played was M16. I didnt like the micro transactions and am really only a franchise player. Eventually I saw M19 on sale so I figured, why not.
I HATE M19. So I stopped and went back to M16. Ive been trying to transition most of my gaming to my PC which I bought for this exact purpose. I needed an NFL game on my PC, Superstar edition (or whatever it is called) is on sale right now for like 30 bucks, so I bought it.
Fired it up expecting the worst.
Honestly I am pleasantly surprised.
At the start they try to get you to create your "avatar" and blah blah blah, let me just stop you. Im not interested. I went to franchise mode and while so far there isnt anytyhing crazy different, there are some additions since M16 that I find appealing. I barely played mind you, just wanted to see if the animations and other on field game play was to my liking.
It is. M19 felt dark and the animations were super stupid IMO, this feels waaaaay better and on sale, if you are into football and need an NFL game on PC, get it.
But only on sale. I mean I spent 30 bucks for something that they normally ask 80 bucks.
Ill get my moneys worth for sure.
I still hate EA.

Listen, I see the negative reviews and I'm sure they're all correct - but to me this was my first ever Madden, and I have not had this much playing a video game in a very long time.
I'm a die-hard football fan (Jets, kill me) and I always wanted Madden but didn't buy it due to the reviews. When it was on sale however I couldn't resist. I bought a controller, got the game and I have not put it down since. It feels so real, the commentary is excellent, the story is lame but the Ultimate team is hella fun with the challenges and slowly building up a good team.
Franchise is my favorite though. My room mate saw me play and ended up getting it, and we play in a league together. Sometimes against each other and sometimes do Ultimate challenges co-op. There have been no bugs for me, and I'm just having an incredibly good time both alone and with my roomie (and this is speaking from someone who's pretty bad at the game).
I can't compare it to previous Maddens because I've never played them. But if you haven't gotten the game in a while, or this will be your first Madden, I cannot recommend it enough.
