This game feels like it was made with love. It runs smoothly and is well written.
Sadly after 8h of playing I feel like I have seen all content that there is. The date dialogues repeat themselves, even if other people are paired up. For the price I wish there was more, the content feels like a 5 bucks game, while everything else feels like a 25 bucks game. I think if the date pairing would trigger unique dialogues there would be so much more to do, like starting another run with new people.

An adorable little dating sim; I loved all of the possibilities, however I'm sure theres a lot more to be developed; Took me less than 3 hours to finish the game and with only 12 characters, its over pretty fast. Would love to see if the developers expand on this; some new characters would be cool to add, or even a quirk system for your ghost so you can customise your playthrough even more :)

I absolutely adore this game
It's chill
It's cute
and after having a tough time lately it's really helped me to just relax and enjoy things
Love, Ghostie isn't an overly complex game and sometimes I do wish there was a bit more to it, but I do love the different interactions between each of the characters and seeing their Polaroids together once they move out is so darn cute.
It would be cool to see some additions to the game in the future like new characters/items/ways to change the house.

LOVE this game!!!
If I recall correctly, this game was inspired by the support systems in the Fire Emblem series, and it shows. If you're a fan of that system--or any conversation-based friendship system like the Social Links in the Persona series--then this game is for you! It is ALL support conversations! I play those games 90% for the supports/match-making alone, so this game is a dream come true! It puts my favorite game mechanic into a cute, condensed, and heart-warming game of its own!
The music and art is charming. The characters have such a cute yet deceptively simple design, and their conversations are wholesome and model some genuinely good communication strategies (expressing feelings, apologies, I-statements, etc etc), without being TOO eye-rollingly saccharine. The light humor throughout the game is appreciated, too!
The basic premise is that you play as Ghostie, and use your ephemeral presence to ship residents together by planting gifts, assigning self-care tasks and "definitely not a date" dates, and a few other little mechanics. The gameplay is neat and simple, with something cute to make you smile at every turn. Even better, this game is very LGBTQIA+ friendly with you being able to ship anyone with anyone, several characters with they/them pronouns, and, if you'd like, the option to not ship a character with anyone at all (you just help them feel happier about themselves, and that is presented as a totally valid option, too!). It also helps that the game is designed by only a small handful of indie devs--if I recall correctly, PoC and women-owned, too! <3 <3 <3
While the game has a treasure trove of goodies, I adore the nuggets of wisdom that hit unexpectedly hard, such as how one character tells another when the rest of the world expects you to be "good" at everything, it's okay to be bad at a hobby you're doing for yourself. Give yourself a break and just enjoy what you enjoy, quality aside! DEFINITELY something I need to remember!! The last lines of each playthrough too--I straight-up shed some tears (in a good way~).
This is not a long game by any means, with one playthrough taking only about 2 or so hours to finish, but its replayability is high. After completing my first playthrough, it was my instinct to immediately replay for achievements. But I found myself myself getting antsy, a little irritable, and skipping-more-than-reading the dialogue. I decided to take a break. After a couple of weeks letting this game sit in my backlog, I started it up again when I needed an emotional boost. With a fresh dose of patience and new ideas for pairings, I was able to enjoy my second playthrough just as much, if not more, than my first. Despite its brevity, try not to rush through this game. Take its advice: be mindful. Pick it up when you want to have a healthy, sweet self-care boost that will guarantee to leave a smile on your face and hopefully a bit more wisdom and optimism than you had before.
Love, Ghostie is clearly a project of, as it says in the title, love--and one I'm grateful has been shared with us. :)

I've been waiting for "Love, Ghostie" for two years, and it was absolutely worth the wait! The art style is adorable, the characters are charming, and the dialogue is filled with the best spooky puns.
The only thing I wish is that there were MORE characters because the game wraps up pretty quickly. But I'm already excited to dive back in, replay, and see if I can create some new couples and experiment with different gifts. If you're a fan of quirky, spooky fun, this dating sim is a must.

I LOVE this game. It's wholesome without feeling like it was made for a six year old which is rare imo. It explores relationship dynamics in a fun way and the art isn't too cute, just the right amount. The game is fun and engaging and I can't remember the last time I relaxed this much. If you love cozy, feel good games I cannot recommend this enough. I REALLY hope there's future DLC or a sequel. Side note, my 8 year old and I are playing at the same time and seeing them gush about the characters and romances is just adding so much to my experience.
