Cool little platformer, the ability to set your own checkpoints means you're always right back into the action (unless you forget to put one down). Most evil switching platforms since Mega Man 2. Seems to contain all the levels from the previous two games plus various enhancements? And mysterious secret things that I'm not sure what they do.

This is a fantastic platformer. It's so simple but so fun. It's no cake walk and I'm still working to get through it all. Love to pick this game up every so often and see how far I can stretch my lives count.

After a long time on my backlog, I finally sat down and played this game for my first time. Admittedly, as a fan of 2 and of this game's demo, I already knew I was going to love this one. But... yeah, wow, I think it somehow exceeded that already high expectation.
And I know for a fact I'm barely scratching the surface. 2 already had a fair number of secrets, and this one sounds like it has a lot more.
Oh, and major, major spoilers, but the final level actually gave me chills when I turned off the machine and realized that I couldn't place checkpoints anymore, this series continues to impress me by how it manages to seem to tell a story of a sort without any words.
Amazing vibes in this game, amazing soundtrack, fun and varied levels, look please just go play it honestly I could go on about this game for probably hours and I haven't even played it for a whole hour yet despite how replayable it all is.
...have I mentioned it includes remakes of all the previous entries of the series too? It does. Haven't tried those yet but it's probably the best way to play those games or something, I dunno consult other steam reviews on that one. (Though it does seem 2's ranking system is gone sadly. Ah well. Very, very small issue in an otherwise amazing game... suppose it means there's still a reason to go back and play 2! That's neat.)
