Laser League
Vaporize the opposition in the light-speed future of sport. An all new multiplayer experience – easy to pick up, but near impossible to put down, Laser League starts as a simple test of your reflexes, but soon becomes a strategic showdown with deep team tactics. Combine your class abilities, dominate the pitch, eliminate your opponents and claim your place on the podium. Beat Mastery challenges and level up to unlock hundreds of kits and customizations. Rise up the leaderboards and become a sports legend of 2150. Laser League, like nothing you’ve played before. Known for the award-winning OlliOlli series and NOT A HERO, Roll7 bring their trademark addictive gameplay to an original vision of near-future competition. Like all great sports it is immediately understandable, but rewards dedication with deceptively complex strategic possibilities. Find the perfect blend of classes for your team, and wage neon war online or with up to eight players around a single screen.

A great laser game that got in its own way. It'll shut down on July 6th, 2023.
Pros:
Solid core gameplay
Great map and class variety
Easy to grasp, hard to master
Beautiful black and white artistic style
Tutorial does a great job of explaining the game
Cons:
Leveling can feel like a grind
Characters are not unlocked from the start. New player experience is limited to a single character, not a good way to capture interest.
Lacking in good customization - most skins look very similar and early customization feels cheap, not a good way to capture interest.
Lack of marketing. Was included in a single Humble Bundle early on
Lack of QA - who places the Laser Store (chance to spend money) next to the exit that has no confirmation giving the player time to rethink that bad choice.
Overly complicated rounds. Instead of best of 3 rounds with 3 points each, make it best of X points (without rounds) to streamline the process.
Should've been free to play from the start
Shut down affects the game's future and players won't be able to log in per the dev's announcement

"Laser League" - A Brilliant Concept Dimmed by Server Shutdown.
"Laser League" initially burst onto the scene with an innovative and thrilling take on multiplayer sports. The game's unique blend of fast-paced action and strategic thinking set it apart in the competitive gaming landscape.
The visuals were striking, with neon-lit arenas and dazzling laser patterns creating a visually stimulating experience. The variety of classes and abilities added depth to the gameplay, allowing for diverse playstyles and team compositions.
However, the disappointment arises from the unfortunate decision to shut down the game's servers. The community, once vibrant and active, now faces the disappointment of losing access to the online multiplayer component that made "Laser League" special.
Despite the server shutdown, it's essential to acknowledge the positive aspects of the game during its active lifespan. "Laser League" showcased the potential for innovation in the multiplayer genre and provided memorable moments for those who had the chance to experience its unique brand of competition.

Hi team. Thanks for the memories. My friends and I play this game together on Friday nights and it's always a blast (even with our 160ms). Sorry you have to close this down, it had so much potential, just didn't get noticed.
I'll never forget you
