This game's great.
It's got in-game leaderboards, a robust level editor, high tech speedrunning strats, and a beast of a challenge level, The Peak, reminiscent of Getting Over It and Jump King.
The learning curve of the main story really helps ease you into the controls and movement of the game, and oh boy does it feel good when you get your jumps just right.
Oh yeah, and it's getting some exciting looking multiplayer modes coming.

Did I get frustrated playing Hoplegs? YES
Did I hate playing Hoplegs? YES
Did I have fun playing Hoplegs? ...I think so? °_°
Will I play Hoplegs again? Definitely!
--> this is the videogame equivalent of Stockholm syndrome
It's the kind of frustrating game that you'll quit in a rage only to restart a few minutes later when your nerves have calmed. I think it's the perfect game for streamers though, as I can imagine it would be very entertaining to watch someone else get frustrated.

Propel your little cube dude about the place using extending legs from all 4 sides represented by the 4 buttons on a controller. A really fun challenge that has a ton of content, clever level design and glorious leader boards.
Art style is clean and suits the game well and is complimented by catchy music that mocks you perfectly as you bounce wildly about trying to reach that next ledge!
If you like a challenge then be sure to grab this game.

This is one of my favorite platforming games. I've played soooo many platformers and I can't believe I'm having a fresh, new platforming experience. WITH an editor, even.
Great work, developer!!

Some people have two left feet. Hoplegs has four.
If you want to see gameplay and watch me struggle, click on my video. Hoplegs puts you in the two-dimensional world of Hoppus Legintfrid, a four-legged square who was once a passably decent wizard's apprentice. Heroically grit your teeth and get ready to ragequit, because sooner or later you're going to shut down this game and cry.
What's that? You're good enough to beat it? We'll see. Unlike other games with awkward controls, Hoplegs is designed fairly. Physics are consistent. Your momentum is the greatest at the start of your jump. And when you're carrying momentum down a hill. A good player will be incredibly skillful. The rest of us... well, we try our best.
Story? Who cares. Music? It's fine and relaxed enough with just a hint of upbeat tones to taunt you as you fail over and over again. Mechanics? Springs, anti-gravity, and more await you to mix things up. If you've played similar games with punishingly frustrating controls, you're already hungry for the struggle that you know is coming. If you haven't played those games yet, then Hoplegs is a good place to start. It's fair, it's well-designed, and it has a level editor...
... heaven help us, there's a level editor.

Such a fun, challenging and unique platformer. Hoplegs brings forward my stubborn nature in the best way possible and I just have to complete the masochistic gauntlets. The concept of having the four sides of the player-controlled cube correspond to the four buttons on your controller seem simple enough to grasp in the beginning, but it gets increasingly difficult to master the more you play.
With charming graphics, upbeat catchy music and a simple yet epic story, Hoplegs will leave a lasting impression! Don't let it defeat you!

I bought a copy for myself and my friend. The day after said friend messaged me "now my girlfriend hates you too".
Honestly, I have never enjoyed being frustrated in a game as much as I have in this one. The level design can be brutal, and feel a bit mean at times, but every time I fail it feels like it is because *I* screwed up, not because the game screws me over, you know? So there's no point in getting mad. And I do notice I'm already getting... well, I wouldn't say "better" just yet, but less bad at least. I'm having a lot of fun trying to master this and failing repeatedly, looking forward to seeing how high the skill mastery ceiling is for this game!
I also hope it becomes big enough to be picked up by the speedrunning community, I imagine it will be fun to see them come up with ways to exploit the physics of the game!
