Money Talks. Silence Pays. Prepare to Make a Killing. When assassins from Agent 47’s contract agency, The ICA, are eliminated in a series of hits, it seems a larger, more powerful agency has entered the fray. Sensing he may be a target, 47 travels to America, and prepares to make a killing.
- ‘Blood Money’ system: the cleaner the ‘hit’ the more money you receive which can be spent on bribing witnesses and police to reduce your notoriety, weapon customisation, specialist equipment and information.
- Customisable weapons: modify Agent 47’s custom weapons in a variety of ways including sound, recoil, rate of fire, damage, reload speed, accuracy and zoom.
- Strong narrative: who is wiping out the ICA and what is their motivation?
- New engine: the world of the assassin has never been so interactive or looked so good!
- New gameplay techniques: including disarm, distraction, accidents, body disposal, human shield and decoy weapons.
- New control and camera system: Agent 47 now moves independently of the camera.
- New moves: Agent 47 can now climb, hide, scale ledges and automatically pass low obstacles.
- Improved AI: guards will follow blood trails, investigate suspicious items and behaviour. New pathfinder engine provides improved tracking and movement with realistic enemy behaviour and interaction.
- Soundtrack by BAFTA-winning composer Jesper Kyd.

Modern stealth games hold your hand. Blood Money pushes you down a flight of stairs and tells you to make it look like an accident. This game is a pure, unadulterated sandbox of sociopathic creativity. Every level is a complex puzzle where the solution might be poisoning a donut, rigging a stage pyrotechnics display, or simply waiting for the perfect moment to shove a man off a balcony.
The plan is always "Silent Assassin." The reality is usually a chaotic domino effect that starts with you being spotted through a wall and ends with you, dressed as a birthday clown, frantically bludgeoning a guard with a hammer while "Ave Maria" plays. The controls are a bit clunky and the AI can be psychic one moment and blind the next, but the sheer freedom and satisfaction you get from a perfectly executed, ridiculous plan is timeless. This is the masterclass.

one of the best games of all time.
note:
The game works fine on modern system without mods, just modify HitmanBloodMoney.ini file:
set Resolution in HitmanBloodMoney.ini file to your monitor resolution(example : 2560x1440),
set EnableVSync to 0,
and cap framerate to 60 in nvidia control panel to avoid physics bugs.

it's a common opinion that Blood Money is the best Hitman. i find this too childish to say. 'cos every Hitman game is a peak for someone. each game is like a soft reboot and reimagination.
Blood Money's reputation comes from the fact that the game ended up being the last true and great stealth game before everyone in the industry lost their minds because of Gears of War.

Back in the good old days.. only 16h on steam, but way back on my old Pentium 4 in 2012-2013, with no money to buy the game, so the only solution at the time.. well... a cracked version, probably from a very dark U-torrent link.
I spend so much time learning all patterns of pnjs, exploring every corner of the maps to have the perfect kill, collecting all the weapons, trying all the clothes.. aaah so much memory.
And after all these years in 2026, checking the spring sales, it was here for so cheap, I finally own it after buying it, and I still have a blast playing it once more. A game that holds a special place in my heart.

This is the culmination of everything that came before, and what would later be perfected in World of Assassination. Everything about this game is pure excellence and is without a doubt, a masterpiece.

Pros:
-Really an exemplar product in stealth gameplay. Interactions feel like they connect and compliment pretty easily in this game, allowing you to be more immersed. Kills and the setup to them are satisfying, and work as intended if you’ve got a good head on your shoulders for planning. Even if you go guns blazing, you still feel like there’s some strategy, mixed with the feeling of playing as a super soldier type character.
-Environments are large and open ended, but not at all empty.
-Replay value is further improved. Feels very seamless looking all through the level, and most times finding at least a dozen ways to complete it.
-Highly interactive environments and NPCs. For example, rigging kills to look like accidents, smuggling guns through chechpoints. ‘Immersive sim’ qualities are top tier, and this game prizes creativity.
-AI feels natural, appropriately responsive, and nearly never breaks.
-Difficulty and difficulty level is perfectly done.
-Upgrade system with your contract money feels balanced, rewarding and open-ended.
-Newly added notoriety system that increases the chance for 47 to be recognised in subsequent levels. Can be combatted by paying for bribes, new identities etc. Could be more impactful, and is not featured while playing in level select, but a cool addition.
-Story (spoiler free): While it’s a great one in my opinion, the real unique takeaway is still Agent 47 and the impact he has. The central characters, and targets are extremely well done as well.
-Visuals and audio blend perfectly. The sound design, voice acting and Jesper Kyde’s amazing music compliment the dark, gritty and seedy atmosphere. Graphics and animations are pretty good for the time as well in my opinion.
Cons:
-Old game jank. Particularly noteworthy in some physics situations (for example, dragging a body or pushing someone from a railing). The controls are hard to get around at first, but they become pretty natural as you get invested in the gameplay.
-Buggy in places. Not often, but there are a few cases of things like enemies walking through doors, or characters and corpses floating.
I feel that this is an improvement on the previous entry that was already amazing, and one of the greatest stealth games of all time, and games in general. There is a reason so many people love this game.
Final Verdict: 10/10

The controls are definitely... interesting. But once you get used to them, this game is actually quite fun. Considering it's my first Hitman game, I'd say I'm definitely enjoying it.
