High Entropy: Challenges
Use computers (via GUIs or the command line), unlock doors, crawl through vents, fight enemies head on or find other ways to neutralize or avoid them…
Challenges
High Entropy: Challenges is a free, action-adventure FPS (inspired by some of my favorite immersive sims) consisting of a beginning, 15 levels, a default ending and a special ending if you finish with a 100% score in all levels.
Command Line Interface / Fists vs Shadows
The computers in the game include a command line interface for those interested in overcoming some obstacles the ‘hacker’ way, but the levels are designed so there’s always an alternative way to advance (except once as an introduction in level 7, and the exact commands needed then are written in a document next to the corresponding computer). Some secondary objectives and achievements require its use, but there are manuals placed around the levels that gradually introduce how do it.
Also, some of the levels offer multiple paths to solve them, being able to choose a more action oriented approach or a stealthy one, and include some achievements related to this (Path of Fists, Path of Shadows…).
High Entropy
Hopefully, High Entropy: Challenges is a fun stand-alone gaming experience by itself, but it was also made to serve as a way for people to help me test my ideas out and see if creating High Entropy –the extended, commercial version I have in mind– is viable and something people would enjoy (it would include this challenges mode and an exclusive story mode).

I have to give the developer great praise.
I played the game long before the recent big updates. I remembered one day that the dev somewhere said that he was planning to make a full game and that this was something of a demo, and so I decided to ask on the steam community page of the game, about the dev's progress on the full game. I actually got an answer directly from the dev himself, and he said that he was preparing something for us, if I remember correctly he also said that we the community inspired him. And here we are, everyday I wake up to see a new update message. Truly wonderful.

I greatly enjoyed this game and despite being free it's still being updated 5 years later. It's fun to play in both the stealth and action routes.

A fantastic puzzle game that challenges both your logic and creativity, though my brain will probably file a formal complaint after this! The puzzles are tough but rewarding, and the minimalistic design keeps the focus on problem-solving. It’s like playing Tetris but instead of blocks, it's your sanity getting stacked up.

Closer to a puzzle game than to an immersive sim, the level design is fantastic and my only complaint is that the dev hasn't already turned this demo into a full game.

Short, fun and free immersive sim with an actual command line interface which is both very useful and educational. If this sounds like a good time then give it a shot. Also the developer is working on a new update (without a release date, but that's understandable), eagerly waiting for it.

Great game! Not only is it free, but it also comes with a basic guide to hacking! i also LOVE the idea of being able to solve every level in different ways.

A game that nails all the fun parts of a classic immersive sim.
With not much story or plot component, the game puts you in puzzlebox levels with multiple solutions and lets you have at it.
If you're an immersive sim fan, you cant go wrong with this one, plus its free.
