To be honest, i bought this game because i support some of my good friends who are developers of this game. But after i finished my first playthrough, i realized that, maybe that's why i became good friends with them. The beauty of small details, visuals, music, narrative and surprises they put into this game are sooo like them! Although the journey is somewhat short and simple, i genuinely feel it will be long last in the memory of players, similar to our friendship!
I'm looking forward to continue the journey and unlock the true ending, and also other games from this developers in the years ahead! All the best of luck for all members of the team!
Sincerely, from your good friend

A Heartwarming Adventure That Steals Your Heart
Hello Goodboy is an enchanting game that takes players on a journey through the afterlife, alongside the endearing duo of Iko and Coco. As someone who rarely writes reviews, I couldn't resist sharing my thoughts on this extraordinary experience that has left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.
From the moment I started playing Hello Goodboy, I was captivated by its ability to craft a personal fairy tale atmosphere. The game's visuals, music, and storytelling all work harmoniously to create a world that feels both whimsical and comforting. I found myself completely immersed in the heartwarming story, eager to uncover the mysteries that awaited Iko and Coco.
One of the highlights of Hello Goodboy is the joy it brings. As I accompanied Iko and Coco on their adventure, I couldn't help but collect bundles of joy along the way. These delightful moments and discoveries add an extra layer of charm to the game, reminding us of the simple pleasures in life.
And let's not forget the countless bellyrubs I happily showered upon Coco! The game knows how to sprinkle in moments of pure happiness, and interacting with Coco brought a smile to my face every time. It's these small touches that make Hello Goodboy an incredibly wholesome experience.
Overall, Hello Goodboy is a gem of a game that deserves to be celebrated. Its heartwarming story, captivating visuals, and the enchanting bond between Iko and Coco make it a truly special adventure. If you're in search of a game that will touch your heart and leave you with a sense of joy, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Hello Goodboy a try. It's an experience that will stay with you long after you've put down the controller.

That was nice though I wish the ending and some dialogue was skippable for the sake of just finishing achievements.
Great art & very cute game tho! Made me feel like I was a child again (in a good way) or like I'm in a story book!

Hello Goodboy is an adventure game where the main focus is the story. You play as this young boy who gets thrown into a world that is unknown to him where you'll meet a dog that will help you along the way. You'll meet a bunch of other characters and get opportunities to help them out as well as fix objects that were broken. Both things are done through easy-to-understand puzzles and easy mini-games that don't have a penalty if you screw them up.
I enjoyed playing through the game and meeting all the characters, they all have in some way an important life lesson for you in store, which I won't spoil here. You'll learn where they come from and why they react a certain way. The game has the right length for the story to carry you through.
In a playthrough, you can only visit 2 of the 4 areas before you get through the end boss. I find this an odd choice and I think it is done to encourage people to continue with the continue+ option in the main menu after beating the game for the first time, as it is clear you only saw just half of the game, but it still felt a bit weird.
One thing I didn't like is the way the story is told, it felt a bit childish and over-explained, but I might not be the right targetted audience. The life lessons you can get from Hello Goodboy are good for every age, but just the way the main character and Coco the dog respond felt like they talked to a young child.
For the achievements you'll have to play through the game at least 3,5 times because you'll have to visit every area twice. You want to repair everything in each area for 2 achievements and you'll want to ignore everything except the choice at the end for another one. I would recommend doing that one on your third or fourth playthrough. In the settings you can set the text to instant, this will help you shorten the playthroughs a little bit.

Beautiful little game. Obviously meant for parents to play with their kids. But honestly, still worth playing. The graphics are gorgeous, the music is nice and soothing, and the main characters are adorable. If you want the whole story, you will need to play more than once.
