If you play it one time only, it is a good game. If you play it two times, which will give you the "true ending", it will still be good.
Adorable artstyle and one of the most amazing soundtracks I've ever heard in a game. The story is very meh, especially in the way it's told, not just by what is told, but cute moments like when you get to give bellyrubs to the dog, or when the dog takes all these typical dog poses can compensate for it.
But with the achievements is where they completely lost me.
Making you play through the game at least 4.5 times to get everything.
And you have to press spacebar to confirm EVERY. DAMN. SINGLE. LINE. OF. THE. DIALOGUE.
And you have to wait out all the mandatory pauses.
And order your character to eat every painstakingly slow bite of every food and confirm the dialogue inbetween each bite.
Not giving us a button to jump to the parts where we make a decision. I think this might have given me tendonitis.
That was an EXTREMELY poor design choice. So much that I don't wanna play this game anymore. Ever.
I will still leave a recommendation EXCLUSIVELY due to the visuals and audio. If either of those two were even slightly less good, this would have been a thumbsdown.

There's not much gameplay in this game, as it's mainly a story delivery device, and the story isn't that interesting or innovative. You can probably guess it like 5 minutes in. I am not quite sure who this game is for, as the art style and the gameplay imply it being for small children, but the story seems to try to imply that it's something for the adults.
Still, if you're okay with spending some time doing inoffensive light reading and looking at cute artwork, you could do worse.

Good Deeds. To be honest, there’s not much going on with the gameplay. I get why some people didn’t like it, mostly just pressing a button or the spacebar.
Hello Goodboy feels more like a children’s storybook come to life, which actually makes it great for playing with kids or just chilling on your own. The pacing is slow, the story is pretty straightforward, but I still enjoyed it. It’s the kind of game you can play while lying down and taking it easy.
But I can't say this game is a 'yes' or 'no' for you, it really depends on what you’re looking for.
The story follows Iiko and his yellow dog, Coco, on a wholesome journey where they meet different souls, each with their own story and something they need help with. You can’t help everyone in one playthrough because there’s a time limit, so your choices matter.
Finish it once and you get a good ending—play it again in New Game+ to unlock the true ending.
Shoutout to Mrs. Hen and Mr. Goose. Absolute legends.

Very good but sad story. If you want a good chill and cute game then this is worth it. The art is like a children's story book with very beautiful scenes and colors. Get ready for some feels cause this game will definitely give them to you. Has replay value for good reason. Has fun little puzzles and options.

Pros: Beautiful game that really makes you think about life and death
Plot seems to be for children but lots of little insides for adults.
Provides a different cultural food and explains it in every single season/plot in the game.
Makes you fall in love and help multiple characters
Minigames are fun.
Can pet the dog.
Cons: Can’t skip ahead in the game in a lot of it and you have to play the game a minimum of 5 times to get all achievements
A lot more dialogue than actual gameplay, and some people find it ‘preachy’ at times - like how important it is to be a good boy
Rating: 7.5/10
