Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality.

This is a beautiful game, it's relaxing and fun, it's not an action game and thats the thing that gives it it's charm and beauty.

I have played many games, but this one hit differently. It's so unique. I loved everything about it - the gorgeous and breathtaking graphics, the magnificent soundtrack and the captivating storyline.
One of my closest friends watched me play this game. We experienced and loved it together. She passed away more than two years ago and, today, I was finally able to replay it. It brings me a lot of good memories.
There are not enough words to describe what it feels like to play GRIS - you have to experience it for yourself.

Beautiful visual arts and not demanding on jumping. There’s little explanation on game mechanics and the story, so they are all up to your interpretation. Overall it’s a pleasant journey.
Other than the story related ones, most of the achievements are very missable in the first run. There’s the chapter selection function after completing the game, so no stress in the first run which takes about 5 hours.
The game’s experience is perfect on steam deck.

Undoubtedly, it is one of the most beautiful games
This game showed us that even in the darkest and worst moments of our lives, there is always a light to guide and save us
To find the lights of life, you have to try and never give up
The game music was very relaxing Overall I enjoyed it :)))

Normally I'd give some pros and cons list along with a number rating out of 10, but Gris doesn't really fall into that type of categorization. It's not the best game I've played, nor would I say it's a perfect one, but I can't honestly rate it in terms of what is considered a typical "game".
Gris is nothing short of a masterpiece in the form of stunning visuals and music that tugs on your heart with every note. There's clear symbolism of grief and how one must traverse those dark places within oneself to heal, done so in game by simple, straight forward jumping puzzles with a small assortment of hidden collectibles along the way. Each area represents one of five stages of grief; overcoming the challenges sheds new light back into the character's world and provides newfound strength to move forward.
For those wanting challenging mechanics and deep platforming level design, I don't think Gris will be what you're looking for.
For anyone, Gamer™ or otherwise, looking to experience a piece of art and take part in an emotional journey, Gris welcomes you with open arms.

For most of this game, I didn't know what I was supposed to do. But I knew that as long as I was reaching new places and gaining new abilities, I was probably on the right track.
This sentiment is so unique to grief that it is beyond surprising that a game could so accuratly convey it. It's about being lost and overwhelmed yet gradualy findinding ways of interacting with the enviroment until it gains its colors again. You don't have clear objectives because those aren't real. All you have is what you feel, what you can do and the world.
Beatiful and necessary.

Despite that GRIS is a game It doesn't feel like a game at all but more like Art Exhibition which will leave big impact on you when you finish the game.
The game uses color palette associated with "Five Stages of Grief" which is Denial which is represented with color White, Anger which is Red, Bargaining being Green, Depression is Blue and Final Stage which is Yellow is Acceptance. There is also Black which may represent Fear but I'm not sure. Each of these stages is very well represented with each level you go into and through the game you get new abilities which will help you through the game.
It wouldn't be a game without sounds. Each level which represents one stage of grief has great use of specific musical instrument like Anger using Organ when Sandstorm comes. I like Organ and hearing this when Sandstorm came It made my ears have orgasm.
The last stage which is Acceptance doesn't implement just yellow but also other colors which shows that the Main Protagonist is trying to control their emotions but There are few of these colors. They don't fully control them until the end where the Black Beast which may represent Fear is destroyed and all the colors are splatted over the whole world.
The end made me cry and when a game makes me cry that means It's really good game. Try it out you won't regret it.
