This game does a good job of making the car you're driving actually FEEL fast, which is not something i can say about the newer triple A titles.
The maps are beautiful and deliver a great atmosphere, i can almost imagine myself participating in an underground racing community in a distant future, across various planets and ecosystems.
Soundtrack is pretty good, you got some DnB, techno, playing in the background while you're racing upside down, 400km/h trough what i can only describe as a giant (think matrix) maintenance tunnel, blasting the guy in front of you with a minigun. Reminds me of an old ''space racing'' android game which i used to play way back in middle school.
It's got multiplayer, SPLITSCREEN LOCAL MULTIPLAYER, vehicle customization albeit little, limited to tires and paintjobs but its enough.
Overall a great casual arcade experience.

2 minute TLDR:
Grip is a ton of fun, for people who are fans of the old Rollcage series. While not perfectly polished, the little snags the game does have don't massively hold it back from being enjoyable alone or with friends.

Pretty good remake/reboot of the classic Playstation 1's Rollcage games (plays the same, looks cooler). Really fast combat racer (speeds comparable to Star Wars: Pod Racers at MAX settings (lower pod racer speeds, but still pod racer speeds)), you can drive on the walls, ceilings, under-tracks; while flinging weapons at one another. Is it like F-Zero/Wipeout? If you subtract your wheels, yes. Can you subtract your wheels? Yes. Wheels are optional. Music? Well, you can listen to the default soundtrack, or you can customize the soundtrack. You'd be surprised at what music/soundtracks work well for racing. Oh, and for the brave/iron-stomach, it also has VR mode.
Oh yeah, there's also doing Carkour (Parkour with cars) challenges, and Combat Arena for anyone that remembers playing Twisted Metal back in the day; or Super Mario Kart battles.

Its basically rollcage but better in pretty much every way. The cars are faster and grippier, the music is louder, basey-er, and more intense, the graphics are more graphics than you could graphic ever even. Its not a very subtle or nuanced game, you can tell what you'll get just by watching the trailer, a trait not common for gaming. You either like what you see or you don't.
The biggest downside is that it is a UE game and is therefore kind of unstable and weird. Its not that bad compared to other games on the engine, but my friend crashed during his first hour of play and I DCed randomly. The game runs well framerate wise on my busted up old graphics card so performance isn't a concern unless you play on a toaster oven.
The multiplayer is dead so if you value that, you might have to swindle some friends into buying it with you. Otherwise the campaign bots are surprisingly good for the racing (not so much the combat arenas.)
The game has gone on sale for like 90% off and is absolutely worth it for the nothing you'd pay for it then.

A lot of fun if you have a controller. You can buy it cheap too at $3.20 on sale. There's a bunch of dlc but its all cosmetic so no problem. I was honestly getting bored with all the games I have and somehow I feel like this is the best thing I've bought. Is it a realistic racer game? No its better. Its looks and runs great, is a lot of fun and has a good learning curve. The racing takes priority over combat/weapons which add a nice touch of flavor to the races. You can turn it off if it bothers you but its a lot of fun for me. Lots of good maps too. I just finished the campaign and I have to say its more there for you to learn the courses and get better. There is no story other than the rival system at the end of each tier. It lets you play through all the courses while upping the difficulty with each tier. A great way to keep learning the courses, have fun, and test your skills as the difficulty progressively increases. Yes buy this game and recommend it to others if you like it. Steam reviews are important for highlighting games like this.

VERY fun high octane combat racer. It's just a shame there is no community online. If we could get a competitive community together it would be outstandingly addictive.
Steam User 3
One of the better racing games on the market. Exceptionally underrated. Tips for new players though especially on the harder maps, set engine speed to low. It'll help prevent Rainbow Road situations with those maps. Really hoping for a GRIP 2.
