Worse than GRID and arcade GRID 2, sadly Codemasters lost their identity and didnt understood what their audiance wanted and as a result their end up being under EA and we know what heppens to game studios under EA

A great game ruined by the most ridiculous design decisions ever. First, you will always start in 16th place, every race (to make it fair for the AI, apparently). Second, 'endurance' races are 8 minutes long (not 24 hours like in 2007's Racedriver:GRID), have a tire wear mechanic, BUT NO PIT STOPS!!
- 5/10.

GRID Autosport will give you many hours of racing joy. Sometimes it'll be a little challenging but mostly the game is pretty easy.

This game is just fine. It isn't a huge leap forward or anything groundbreaking, but it was a necessary step in the series after the disappointment of Grid 2. I definitely recommend it if you can find it on sale somehow, but you won't need to put tons of hours into it.
I have put a decent amount of hours into Grid Autosport in the last few years, coming back to it recently after getting a Steam Deck. The game's progression is reminiscent of the first Grid, where you compete across multiple disciplines of motorsports. I've always loved this era of Codemasters racing titles, as their physics have the right amount of balance for something that feels both fun to play and reasonably realistic. Autosport leans to the arcade side of things but it isn't a negative.
The biggest negative I can say about the career is that it feels grindy and a bit lifeless. Races feel samey from time to time. And one of the biggest criticisms of this game at launch was while it brought back interior views that were missing from Grid 2, the view is blurred except for everything outside the cockpit. In a way, I like the choice because it pulls your attention to the track, but the interior views are just not finished. No dash lights, not even a simple rev counter light, so you can't even drive in these views without the dials on. Thankfully they fixed this on subsequent games.

It's rare, but sometimes, there's this moment in the car where everything goes quiet, my heartbeat slows, it's peaceful, and I can see everything, and no one, no one can touch me. And I am chasing that moment every time I get in the car. I don't know when I'll find it again, but, man, I want to. I want to. 'Cause in that moment, I'm flying.

this is for single player only.
game runs fine, but the ai are as dumb as bricks. They follow a racing line, and one racing line only. they don't move for you, and they will ram you if you are in the way. the ai loves to park on the apex and slow down the entire traffic behind them, and their break lights sometimes don't work. you can't ram them from behind to get the dumb ai out of the way either, cuz they weight like a ton of bricks, trust me i tried.
the best way to get past all the ai is to break late and stay on the outside lane, because they are usually always open, because this game's racing ai is stupid.

Old but gold. Piti, it is removed. Codemasters, you will be missed!
