In-Depth Review
The Game
Gameplay
Geometric Sniper takes a fresh approach compared to other hidden object games. Instead of finding a lot of objects on the screen, the main mode in this game requires you to kill a target (or more, depending on the mission) within a time limit. You are given a certain number of bullets to hit your target, and just like any sniper rifle, your aim is unsteady. You must kill your target in this condition, sometimes while your target is moving around.
You can see your target at the beginning of the mission. There is a mission briefing that contains a file and the description of who you need to kill before starting the mission. It's not always kill the person on the screen, though. Sometimes it gives a unique mission where you either need to protect the person in the picture or kill more than one target that is related to the person in the picture.
Your target hides well. Sometimes, they will hide behind a window; sometimes they will only be shown at a certain time in a certain spot. It might be hard to pinpoint their exact location whenever they do this, especially since there are a lot of areas to cover. Since you need to finish the level within a certain time, you might run out of time before you find them and have to redo the level all over again.
The target's location is randomized in every playthrough. Since each level is timed, this helps to reduce the repetitiveness, although you still won't be able to finish the level if you don't know what you need to do. One level is quite tricky, though. I was tasked with finding a gang member in a certain uniform, and one of them was not in uniform.
Length and Difficulty
I finished the game in 3.8h after doing all the modes that the game has to offer. Some targets can be tricky to find, although the randomization helps to make the game not feel repetitive.
The game has different modes. The default one is Adventure Mode that I mentioned all this time. There is also Elite Mode, which behaves exactly like Adventure Mode, but you can't zoom. Find Mode, which acts like other hidden object games where you need to find a certain object within a time limit, and Speedrun Mode, where you need to go through all 12 maps in Adventure Mode and find one tower hidden in each level. I found most of them to be tricky to find, although I don't really like the timer option in the Find Mode. Some objects are hidden very well, and it can be annoying to reset when the timer goes faster than how fast you can find all of the objects several times.
Conclusion
Geometric Sniper does a fresh take on the hidden object genre. You need to find a target through your sniper scope to kill them instead of finding numerous objects on the screen. If you want more, there are more game modes you can play by finishing a level in adventure mode. I don't enjoy the timer very much since it means that I had to restart a level several times if I didn't know what to do, although the game is still decent for me. If you enjoy playing a hidden object game and want to try one with unique gameplay, this game is for you.

I love hidden object games and this one brings something new to the table. Sniping! Nothing better than searching through a land full of stick figure round heads and bag heads to find your mark. Runs great on steam deck.

Geometric Sniper — Shockingly Addictive Minimalist Sharpshooting
Geometric Sniper is one of those games that looks simple… right up until it has you leaning forward in your chair, squinting at the screen like a detective who missed their morning coffee.
The minimalist art style works way better than it has any right to — clean shapes, bold silhouettes, and environments that feel like interactive posters. The lack of detail actually becomes the challenge: every target blends into the world just enough to make you doubt your instincts, which makes lining up a perfect shot feel incredibly satisfying.
The missions hit that sweet spot of “quick but intense,” making it dangerously easy to say one more level until an hour disappears. There’s a nice mix of classic sniper gameplay and Where’s Waldo–style searching, and it never feels repetitive thanks to clever map design and new objectives popping up just when you need them.
Performance-wise? Smooth. Zero clutter. Zero nonsense. It loads fast, runs clean, and nails exactly what it’s aiming for.
If you like:
Precision challenges
Minimalist aesthetics
Short but addictive gameplay loops
Feeling like you have superhuman eyesight when you finally spot the target
…then this is an instant buy.
Verdict: Absolutely worth it. Stylish, calm, challenging — the perfect “just one more mission” game.

Simple and clean. Fun game if you don't mind waiting and you grew up on those I Spy books. The only issue is how damn frustrating it can be having to re-wait all over again if you whiff a shot. Which is shockingly easy to do. I enjoy the pacing but I wish there was a "sandbox" mode where you have to hit them in waves or something. Once you get one down another appears until you use up your timer. Just an idea. Engaging game.

Great, fun time. Can easily be 100%'d in 3 hours. The game actually has some challenge to it and seeing the extra game modes put a different spin on the campaign is a fun addition to play. Story is pretty good too, considering the type of game it is

Simple game, not too hard, find hidden objects and targets and shoot them. Scope is a little jittery before you get used to it.

If you like games like Hidden Folks, Where's Waldo, and very basic FPSs, then there's a good chance that you'll like this.
