Join Jean Wick in his quest to restore hope to a dying world by carrying on a dead monk’s mission to fill the cathedral with light. Use Jean’s douter and a mix of waxy tricks to avoid being detected by Mara, a nun who succumbed to despair as she tried to heal the overwhelming tides of plague victims, and the Legiones, giant insects who feast on the dead. Travel deep into the darkness to bring the world back to the light, or die trying.
Flicker of Hope was developed by Studio Whip, a group of students at Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA), over the course of eight months.

More like Little Lightmares, amirite?
This game was actually a pretty good time, and yeah, it IS very much like Little Nightmares, but this one is different in that instead of the platforming and throwing mechanics, you have a timer of sorts: as you stray too far away from the puddles of wax that are strategically placed throughout the game, you gradually melt away and need to replenish yourself at the next wax puddle. On top of all of this is the fact that you're being stalked by an unknown assailant that is bent on snuffing you out, and trust me, if you aren't quick on your feet, you will get snuffed out. More than likely multiple times. You can snuff yourself out to stealth yourself (somewhat), and dash, which uses wax at a faster rate. The game looks and plays very well, I had no issues at all the entire time that I played. It actually looks *quite* good for such a small student game.
If you like this type of game, you need to check this one out. It's short, it's creepy, it's free... and most importantly, it's GOOD.

Flicker Of Hope is a free 30+ minute game where you play as a candle that needs to make it to its destination while avoiding a monster? As well as burning out.
its a fun little experience that has great atmosphere and is worth the time! It reminded me a lot of little nightmares.

This game is great for what it is.
The fact that this was made by 18 people really shows how much passion went into this project.
I love the concept and gameplay even though there are some bugs which are a bit annoying.

This game has great atmosphere and visuals that lures you in and makes you scared and nervous. Hoping flicker gets away in one peace. As you run, hide, cover, and make little buddies to lure evil infected bugs and the sickly demonic nun away, In a holy place of hope and refuge lost to darkness. Will you get to the end lighting the way to a brighter future for all who still reside somewhere in the church during this horrific plague? Or will you lose your spark to the buzzing and screeching beings inside? =>

This is a great, pretty short game. The concept is incredible and the graphics are well done, It was a little hard to get used to the controls as someone who is new to gaming, but I loved it. I would give it a try!
(I have only played a few games from first person POV where w is forward, but after a few minutes I got used to it). Even though it is a short game, I would quite like the ability to make a save file as I had to leave my laptop a few times and restarted the game a few times. There are saves in game when you pass certain points though.

Flicker of Hope contains a horror-film like atmosphere and lighting, mystery and exploration. However, the light isn't clear, the story is short and many areas cannot be accessed.
