Dungeon Defenders II
Etheria is under attack! Build mighty defenses to freeze, burn and disintegrate your foes -- then grab a sword and jump into the action! Level up a team of heroes, deck them out in loot, and destroy the hordes by yourself or in four-player online co-op! Create a Team of Heroes Wizards! Robots! Thieves! Recruit a cast of characters to join you on your quest to save Etheria. Each hero brings unique abilities and defenses to the battlefield. Swap between your heroes on the fly to use all of their tools -- even in combat! Build Your Defenses Construct a deadly grid of laser beams. Drown your foes in quicksand. Build a wall of flamethrowers and watch the world burn, you sicko. A wide variety of defenses are at your disposal, and you'll need them all to protect the Eternia Crystals from the Old Ones' army. Shoot and Loot Leap into battle and get your hands dirty! Grab a sword, a bow or a laser shotgun to blast through hordes of enemies.

I still don't have a boyfriend and am severely depressed, but at least I'm above average at this game.

The game is a fairly solid game. You build towers and defend several objectives throughout the map. You get to intervene as a hero and can play with others. That said the game really is only technically free. They have time gates which can be overcome but, your inventory space is premium. I don't mean premium as in most important, though it is, I mean premium currency. Yeah they made inventory space a real money transaction in a looter game. Multiple in game mechanics force you to this end. Lots of resources, upgrades, gear, make it an inventory management game if you don't pay up. Really scummy shit right there. It's a grind game but the grind IS the game so it's not a real complaint. You get an RNG dice roll to see if you get the shard you want at the end but can use the daily/weekly login rewards to bypass that RNG. Despite all that I can recommend it. Not as a Free to play game, buy the starter pack and max your bags for you own enjoyment, but as a simple, easy, overall fun experience. Really shitty that inventory space is in essence mandatory pay wall regardless though.

i'm an old player, great game.
if you like the grind and the min maxing aspect of it, you can get a lot of hours of enternainment.
