Dreadnought
Dreadnought is about one thing: team-based, capital ship combat. It’s a free-to-play shooter that puts you at the center of battles in space and above the surfaces of colonies across the solar system. But it’s not just you and your guns against the world. You have your teammates—outlaw captains like yourself—and a range of ballistic weaponry, Goliath nuclear torpedoes, and long-range Tesla cannons to fill out your earth-shaking arsenal. Combat in Dreadnought takes place at a deliberate pace, giving you just enough time to react to an ever-changing battlefield. During each match, you’ll be able to respawn as a different vessel and switch up your strategy—all while the opposing team does the same. Winning isn’t just about cannons, missiles, and torpedoes. Each vessel is equipped with an energy management system that gives your crew the ability to activate shields, boost engine power, and amplify weapon damage. Using this energy wisely is key to coming out on top.

A truly unique game which deserved better. There really isn't any other game out on Steam that is similar to this game. Where else can you commit war crimes with nuclear warheads!?
I could elaborate on all of the undesirables about the game, but it would be difficult to criticize a game that will be shutting down within about a week. I love this game and all of the crazy features that the game has. Corvettes doing back-flips across the map, impenetrable potato healer-balls, Machine-gun artillery cruisers, insane tactical ramming maneuvers, and last but most certainly not least, when a fully decked-out monarch warps in front of you to deliver a broadside (or when a Zmey just decides to nuke you instead)! This game has so much action-packed gameplay, it's hard not to love the game when there is a full squad v. squad match, let alone a full-on team v. team of real players.
Although there were some big issues after the transition from early access to official launch of the main game, the most disappointing aspect of the game, in my opinion, was the exodus of the main portion of the player base upon releasing the game onto steam after the beta testing of the game concluded. Sure, the grind might have been difficult in those early days, but at least it was never pay to win! It definitely was not nearly as bad once people realized that farming credits and experience in the "Proving Grounds" mode was a great way to practice and progress at a fast pace.
Like I mentioned above, I do not want to dive into the details (and there is a fair amount of them) of what mistakes were made, what should have been done, or what should have been added/taken from the game, when the game is already mostly dead. Many things I loved about the old Dreadnought have since left or been removed, and in exchange, the game's battle mechanics became more refined, in addition to better balancing of the capital ships. I see where the game could have expanded, and there definitely are certain modules that people tend to avoid because they are considered to be inferior, but this issue quickly set me on a fun journey for me to explore all the different possibilities of the game. Although there is a meta with some load-outs being generally more effective than others, I had many instances when I would discover a hidden gem that was originally thought to be an ineffective module or load-out combination!
All in all, this was a great game that will be terribly missed. I had a blast playing this game, and I greatly enjoy the Dreadnought community. You could even argue that the community became more close-knit as a result of others leaving the game! In these final days, we players all have mutual respect for each other. Even if we lose a match, we respect the other team because we practically all know each other at this point!
If you have not yet played Dreadnought, or if it has been a while, make sure you hop online quickly before the game ends!
Best Regards, and...

RIP
Unfortunately Dreadnought has the same fate as Fractured Space. Both games were very good, but dedicated to small part of community. We will remember them with love

I will miss this game. The servers are off now. The game was a gem, but it's repetitive nature caused the user base to dwindle to non existence. The graphics and controls were amazing. The game had a small learning curve. Lastly, the more you grinded, the harder the opponents became to compensate for the higher power ships/weapons.
I will miss Dreadnought, as it was a game that I could truly unwind with after a long day of work. Thank you for the good times.

Really enjoyed the gameplay, Shame there aren't games quite like this one, especially since the servers are down.
Wish it could still be Played offline or on community servers.
