Good game but it lacks the sheer raw impact of a scene such as this
Still, an auspicious beginning, no doubt about that.

This is the only Dragon Age that is an actual masterpiece. DA2 had some merits, but it missed more than it hit, and let's just pretend Inquisition and Failguard don't exist.

This was the time when Bioware made great games with great stories and characters. After that, it went downhill for me.

A classic RPG that excels in story, choice, and character development. The game remains one of BioWare’s finest and a must play for fantasy game fans.

One of the best ever. They really don't make 'em like this anymore — back when BioWare was untouchable and RPGs had actual soul.

One of my favorite games. I've beaten it several times and currently working on the platinum for PlayStation. I wish they could retroactively add Steam achievements somehow, nonetheless whether you're a fan of RPGs with high customization, or curious about how an older good CRPG plays be sure to check this game out. There are a couple of sections I will mention that drag on in terms of enemy count such as the infamous Deeproads, but if you can overlook the minor monotony in an otherwise flawless game I would say it's well worth your time.
PROS:
• Somewhat detailed character creation (enhanced with Mods) where graphical fidelity holds up after 15+ years
• Massive build variety with multiclassing being a limited option with the unlocked specializations
• Deep story where your choices of who to side with in each zone ultimately affect how little or much support
you have in the games ending sequence against the Blight
• Interesting character backstories in both the main and side characters. Morrigan’s memorable banter and
sarcasm make traversing amidst the forest on the way to the next zone feel that much painless
CONS:
• Combat can feel slower (deliberately due to the tactical feel for queueing up character actions) than soulslike
games
• Longer sections like the Fade or Deeproads can cause fatigue and make you want to take breaks throughout
(fair since it’s nothing but enemies with little downtime)
• Certain characters you wish had more agency or sense of power and vice versa with unlikeable characters
• Companion likeability should be better explained and certain gifts that progress a character’s story in a
meaningful way can accidentally be given to other party members for lesser appreciation without warning (not
all items but most)
• Could have benefited from base building and customization
Overall this is a solid RPG taking around 30-40 hours to beat and see much of the side content.

done finish play this on my deck. have fun with it. the story is great and its pause attack mechanic is amazing.. help a lot to strategist your tactic during hard challenging fight. however playing this in deck is really pain in the ***. EA apps always constantly have issue after its update. faugus software really help a lot. but sometime the game can only run on desktop mood. AE Apps ruin the fun playing this on deck
