Dead Seater is a really good and scary game to play if you want to get scared. The creepy noises and camera movement really make this game feel unsettling.
The only annoying part about Dead Seater is that you constantly have to keep saving so you don't have to restart after you die. The camera can be annoying too, but it's like that on purpose to give you a creepy feeling.
The story is a little confusing at the start, but by the end it all starts to make more sense.

I hated the controls first and I almost gave up all within the first 15 minutes but then the story kicked in and I kept going and I am glad I did. This game was awesome and I am a type of guy who get scared sh1tless even though I am in my mid 30s I am still afraid of playing horror games but I force myself to do once in a while and I am happy to have played this good game. Needless to say at this point that I am nowhere near a horror expert but still a 100% recommended!

Key hunter. Find a key that unlocks a door that stores a key that unlocks a box that contains a key-- and so on until the game's conclusion. Regardless, this is one of the more terrifying games I've played, never was there a moment I felt composed

Let me preface this by saying that this review is only positive because of the story. The gameplay is overall pretty bad.
There are two things that happen in this game (gameplay-wise at least), and only one is good. Maybe 10% or less of the game is centered around the scares and running away from enemies. This is done really well and leads to good, panicked chases. My one problem is that you can only save in one room, and sometimes dying can set you back a lot. The chases can also be a bit difficult because of the set camera
The main part (over 90%) of the game is walking around the house and finding a key. That key leads to a room. That room has a key. That key opens a box. That box has a key. That key opens another box. That box has a fuse that unlocks another room (I am not joking, that is beat for beat what happens near the end of the game). Some moving around and unlocking a bunch of keys is fine, but it would be so much better with like 5x less of the boring stuff and more scary stuff. Remove half of the keys, add more fakeout jumpscares, and maybe a new enemy type, and the game is perfect.
I'm not gonna spoil the story, but it's really disturbing (in a good way). With this game, I recommend just watching a playthrough or walkthrough, because the main attraction is the story.

solid game, janky controls but kinda hard to make them any better with the interesting camera angles (which were pretty well done, despite not fitting with the gameplay that well)
otherwise gameplay was very repetitive, walking simulator with the occasional scare-of-my-life (waffles knows what i mean)
lore was fire, great story
overall stuck to its original "movie length", (took me 1.7h of gameplay)

Possibly one of the most interesting games I have played this year!

The story is unique, and the game doesn't overstay its welcome. Highly recommended for people who are searching for a unique horror game ;3
