Reimagine what you thought high-stakes, fast-paced investigation was as you investigate twisted murder cases and condemn your new friends to death. A New Danganronpa Begins: Forget what you thought you knew about Danganronpa and join a completely new cast of Ultimates for a brand-new beginning. Murder Mysteries: In a world where everyone is trying to survive, nobody’s motivations are quite what they seem. Use your skills to solve each new murder or meet a gruesome end. Lie, Panic, Debate! The world is shaped by our perception of it. Fast-paced trial scenes will require lies, quick wits, and logic to guide your classmates to the right conclusions.

I loved this game. I understand why some people hate the ending but I think that it was quite risky for them to opt for a narrative like that yet they still decided to do it despite what the general fanbase might think. Out of the three main Danganronpa games, this is the one with the best written and most interesting characters and most enjoyable mechanics. I can't say the same about the extra modes though, they are very boring and nobody asked for them, yet they are necessary to get the 100%, zzzz. Anyways, good game.

I haven't really read other reviews on this game, so I'm hoping this review isn't controversial.
Really enjoyed the story, and the different character arcs. I honestly, truly, enjoyed my time playing this game. Just finished it yesterday. I can't get into specifics because I don't want to spoil anything, but I enjoyed all the twist and turns. Yes. All of them. :)

Danganronpa V3 is a game that will make you feel feelings you did not know you had, as the character and story progression and development are unmatched. It goes from just another high school game to one of the best murder mysteries you will ever experience, as they take no time to introduce you to the horrors of the world around you. From the beginning of the game, they draw you in by introducing all of these lovable and unique characters that you can relate to in some shape or form. You will develop feelings for these characters, as they give you hope, but they destroy it just as fast as they give it to you, making it an emotional roller coaster experience. Danganronpa is a game that will change your view of the world once you're done with it and will leave a permanent mark on your life as that is how impactful this game is. However, despite its successes, the game is not without its faults, as sometimes it loses focus on whom a character was meant to be or what the overall meaning of the story or sacrifice was meant to be. Because of this characters you once loved will become your most hated ones, and you will curse at the devs for making it so, but that just goes to show how much they drew you in. To feel genuine hatred or love for a character is not something that comes easy, but Danganronpa V3 seems to do it effortlessly, as each character connects with the player. Adding on to its effect on the player, the story will make you feel as if the world is going to end if you do not see the end of a chapter as they throw interesting twists in unexpected places. In short, this game is not for the faint of heart. However, I can say with confidence that anyone can enjoy this game, flaws and all because you will find yourself sinking hundreds of hours into this game just to see the characters you love once more.

It is, in fact, more Danganronpa.
Better presentation, with the same great story and the same stupid minigames.
There is a lot of hate for the ending, but I actually really liked it.

Once again, trapped and locked inside of a school. Only this time you're stuck with a karate master with a misandry complex, a gay adventurer, a robot, a horny inventor who needs to watch her fucking language, a novice magician, a cosplay chick, a lying grape flavored goblin, and a goth possibly gay detective.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! Now there's five talking bears! Five times the fun!
Oh, and lots of people die.
10/10.

This game is a beautiful mess, I have never seen so much love and garbage in a simple game that has actively changed my brain chemistry as much as this one. I consider this my favorite of the Danganronpa series. It has its extremely apart flaws but if anything, that’s what draws me to it. It is a master class at subtlety and at the same time feels like it’s constantly reminding you of events that happened less than two minutes ago. This game is an enigma.
Its characters are extremely lovable and besides one or two I cared about all of them. It’s theming and messaging also heavily resonates with me. Game literally gave me an emotional awakening in my teen years and I hate that this is the game that did it. Overall, besides my personal bias of this game being special to me I would recommend this game. Just know you’re gonna have to deal with some BS writing at points. (Like seriously this game goes from the most intense good writing I’ve seen to the most stupid thing I’ve seen in my life in the fraction of a second, it is impressive) 10/10 personally, but a 7/10 realistically.
