Command your train to safety in this post apocalyptic zombie wasteland. Upgrade your firepower and demolish ever growing hordes of deadly zombies!
- This is a fresh take on the Bullet Heaven / Horde Survival genre where you define your weapon layout and upgrade the attributes of your weapons.
- 10 locomotives to unlock and 7 different weapons
- Plenty of fun meta progression and over 160 Steam achievements to unlock.
- Awesome abilities such as the EXP magnet, critical strike, air strike, and orbital strike are all earned by accomplishing achievements.
- Cool relics that you can obtain, and with a lucky combination will make your train incredibly over powered.
- Lots of different zombies and zombie bosses to shoot down or crush underneath your locomotive.

A unique approach to bullet heaven/VS-like genre. It has smooth gameplay, and good graphics. It's a short game and it lacks the depth but still it is fun to 100% the game and it takes around 5-12 hours to grind and complete everything. It's a good game but I would say wait for a sale to buy it.

Is the game good? No.
Is it well balanced? No.
Did I enjoy it and played until I got all achievements? Hell yeah!

Choo Choo Survivor, I choo-choo-choose you as a fairly chill survivor game to grind for Steam achievements. Playable on Steam Deck and I used the HORIPAD for Steam, just need to manually bind a key to that horn.

If you like tower defense type games I say for a couple bucks this will be some fun. Though, i will say weapons and upgrades are great but you run out of runway to give you any reason for other unlocks. What i mean is there are 3 maps to beat and more than 10 unlock trains. So after beating the maps it's mostly back tracking for achievements so if your not a fan of that game is pretty short maybe something like 1-2hr to beat it. possible to win on first fun i think too, if your time.

100% Choo Choo Survivor on 5/19/2024. Surprisingly fun survivor like game but quite a bit easier. 1d movement makes the game boil down solely to upgrades. Additionally, train selection removed a large chunk of RNG that is normally present in normal survivor games. Overall, was an enjoyable relaxed time with a bit of grind at the end to clean up the 100%.

Recommended for sale -40% or above. If there was a neutral option, I'd give it.
Took me 5.6 h to 100%, but I'll be honest, the majority of it was repetitive and going through the motions over and over to get all achievements.
After a couple runs, I already had all meta progression maxed out. I had abilities maxed out that I hadn't even unlocked yet. So the sense of progression was gone after around 1-2 h of playing, meaning the rest was just doing whatever achievements said needed to be done.
When you reach the end of a level, you can interact with a bunker to set the timer to 31 minutes to start the finale.
I cannot understand this whole timer thing. Who in their right minds would reach this without setting it to 31 minutes at the bunker? This could have just been a "interact with this to start the finale of the level".
So, for full price I cannot recommend the game, but for a steep sale? Sure, it was fun enough for that.

A glorious horde survivors / bullet heaven game, starring a train. 10/10. Its only problem, at the start (before buying main menu upgrades) it is very easy to get stuck in far too quickly and too many zombies spawned ahead, creating a strange kind of bottleneck gameplay...
