The Game
The office has fallen into darkness. A ‘toxic’ workplace has transformed the once happy employees into dark and dangerous creatures. The office waits for a hero. You! Become the Box Knight and bring light back to this dark place.
By day you’re just a normal office worker, but when the clock hits 5pm on a Friday you become the Box Knight – Protector of the office realm. Fighter of evil beings, deliverer of beers, wine and non-alcoholic beverages to your fellow workers in need. A champion of ‘culture’ in the now blighted workplace.
Level by level, department by department you liberate the office of the toxic scourge that has plagued the once great company. Your end goal, battle your way up the Office tower and defeat the CEO in glorious battle or die trying…and do it all over again next week.

Every Run Will Be Different
Randomised dungeon crawler that will reward and power up the player the further they play. The better you perform the better chance you have to unlock in-run short term upgrades to power your current run. Trial different builds and work out what ones suit your playstyle best. Are you an aggressive damage dealing brawler, or are you a fast and agile quick attack and vanish type operator? You decide.
Harness the Council of the Janitors – Death is never the end.
Fight. Fall. Grow. Fight Again. With the help of the Janitors upgrade your Box Knight to aid in your battle to claim back the office. Permanently upgrade your Box Knight’s key stats and attributes to the point where the Drone Goblin’s will be quaking in their boots at the very sight of you. Always a reward in death.

A crisp and vibrant artstyle that truly brings the world of Box Knight to life in all it’s bloody and silly glory. Whether it’s the grotesquely cute enemies, the gory and silly executes or even the office design itself. Step into this weird and wonderful world.
Enemy Types
With a colourful cast of enemies that represent fantastical abstractions of your least favorite co-workers. They will be fun to look at and cut down, but also provide a rock,paper, scissor like mechanic to the combat. Each adding a new element or combination of elements that will cause the Box Knight to alter their play style.
Customization
With many great Box Knight legends that have come before you…this is your legacy so it is important to make it your own. Unlock and customise your look, helmets, uniforms, weapons to suit your aesthetic. What is your Box Knight brand?

I am pretty sure I have had some jobs irl that were just like this lol
The game is Castle Crashers if it was a roguelite (though you do not have magic). You do have a dodge though that worke really well. The controls are fluid which is the most important thing in a game like this. You can play with controller and you can also bind the keys as you see fit.
The game is a roguelite so you do a run to try and beat it. There are perks each level you clear like better stats or elements you can add to your attack.
I will update with a full update and run when I beat it, but so far it is fun and it is a good price.

In short, it's a fantastic bright and colorfoul easy to pick up beat 'em up but hard to master. On a true ending playthrough, things gets really challenging which is why having a couch coop option feels really great. The roguelite mechanics are deep with lots of build customization. Horde mode will keep you engaged for a while as you try to get to the coveted 50 rooms clear in a single session. Great title all in all, although the music was not its strongest suit for my taste, but that is also a matter of opinion.
