In Everspace 2, players have a choice of a small number of ships to choose from, but some of them are not so easy to obtain. In this guide, we will explain how to unlock and purchase new spacecraft, as well as provide information about their features.

Where to buy and how to obtain new ships

To access the upgraded ships, players must progress through the storyline. After completing the "Spares & Scrap" quest on the Nephtys Plains, you will meet Officer Shaw. Once you have defeated the criminals attacking the colony, you can dock at the station and purchase one of the available starships.

Visit a ship trader where you can buy one of five different spacecraft. Some of them are just cosmetic changes, while others are unique and have their own characteristics.

When you reach the Union System in Everspace 2, you'll have access to even more spacecraft in the Freelancer Hangar that you can purchase. From this point on, you'll be able to buy practically all the combat vehicles available in the game.

Note: Everspace 2 is still in development, so it's possible that more spaceships will be added to the game soon. We will make sure to update this guide.

Sentinel I

This is the starting spacecraft available to all players in Everspace 2. It comes equipped with a fragile shield, so you'll need to return to the station often for repairs.
