The first scene in the game takes place in a trench, where our hero gets caught in a gas attack and encounters Lambert, a friend who gives him a gas mask. Afterwards, the player is transported to another area where they see their friend trapped at the bottom of a massive crater and helps them escape. It is within this crater that the rabbit toy can be found. It may seem impossible to return to the crater after the first episode, but there is a hidden passage through ancient ruins.
Firstly, you need to find bolt cutters since you can't access the storage without them. After opening the door, you'll see a flooded room ahead of you. Activate the mechanism to the left of the door, as well as the lever located deep in the water-filled room. By doing this, you will drain the water and discover a new passage. Proceed further, passing by ancient Roman columns, until you come across a small pool. Upon closer inspection, you will see an entrance to the ancient tunnels.
Continue through the tunnels and descend further until you find a locked room. This area is being patrolled by a deranged soldier named Tussen. Either kill him or sneak past him. Further down the corridor, there are doors that need to be opened using a brick or a grenade. Inside the room, there is a passage blocked by debris.
Clear the obstruction, and as you proceed through the newly opened passage, you will find yourself in the crater. The sought-after toy will be lying near the water. Pick it up, and you will obtain the "Toy Collector" achievement!
How to use the rabbit. "Sentimentalist" achievement.
To obtain the "Sentimentalist" achievement, all you need to do is throw the rabbit at the monster. The monster will approach the toy, look at it, grab it, and run away. Simultaneously, you will unlock the required achievement.
The toy was a talisman for a soldier, passed on to him by his son. Something affected the soldier, transforming him into a monster, but the rabbit awakens his human qualities. This theory is supported by the notes that the player can discover during the gameplay.
