The wait is over! Rash, Zitz and Pimple are returning at last to smash-hit their way through an all-new action-packed adventure of choreographed chaos, and couch co-op may never be the same again. 1-3 players will take control of the Battletoads and team up to storm through wild and unpredictable stages with only one rule – expect the unexpected. Teamwork makes the dream work in a drop-in, drop-out gameplay blast, filled with over-the-top gameplay moments that anyone can enjoy, but only a True ‘Toad’ can master. With a unique hand-animated cartoon style and packed with memorable characters and locations, the Battletoads are back for a larger-than-life brawl across the universe that promises to be fun alone, and unforgettable together.

I'm unsure where all the hate for this game comes from, The humor is set out to be exactly what the devs intended and I enjoyed it. Really enjoyed the scooter missions and the space missions. base combat is pretty good and gives a good difficulty

I went into the Battletoads reboot expecting an easy target—a quick playthrough, a few jokes about the art style, and done. But the more I played, the more I felt that this game didn’t deserve the reputation it had.
The beat 'em up sections are an absolute blast, the art style is vibrant and fun, and the music is spot-on. The writing is generally solid—though when it’s bad, it's really bad. But those moments are the exception, not the rule.
I ended up genuinely enjoying it, and it’s a shame that the game didn’t get a fairer shake. It’s got a lot to offer, and I’d totally recommend giving it a shot if you have the chance. It’s unfortunate that a sequel doesn’t seem likely because I’d love to see what they could do with a follow-up.

I give it a 7 out of 10. The humor won't land with everyone (it makes me yell "YOUTHS" a lot and shake my fist at a cloud as an old man) but the game is a lot of fun. Act III in the campaign is a bit stretched out for my liking. There is no built in online co op for some reason which is borderline criminal.

This games not bad, its got a lot of different play styles and a decent amount of difficulty, while still being very casual. The writing is pretty corny, and the game is kind of short. Overall i give it 5.8 out of 10. I recommend this game for 3 dollars or less.

A fun game that is enough of a throwback to the original and has its own identity with really nice animation, good meta comedy, and (for the most part) good levels. There's a lot of complaints about this not being a straight up Beat em Up, but there is plenty of that in the first half of the game. It does stray away from that pretty hard around the end of the game, but the levels and different styles are done relatively well. My only real complaint about this game is the length of each level, most of them feel like a drag once they get to the last portion. You kinda just want them to end already, that and some of the mini stuff feels a bit derivative and pointless. All in all a good game that's underrated and overhated imo
PS: it reminds me of something that you'd see on Cartoon Network in the 2000s. Really loved the comedy style and delivery here

I mean this game is fine. I enjoyed the soundtrack and was able to get some laughs from its humor every now and then. The gameplay, for me, often boiled down to either button mashing or move spamming. I appreciate its completely 2D art style because i'm just a sucker for that sort of thing. As I'm sure you can see from my own play time, it is a fairly short game. I remember finishing it and thinking "that's it?"
I recommend it just because I don't think it was bad enough for me not to but it is easily one of the most meh games I've played. If you're really curious to try it out, at least wait until it goes on sale

Really fun. Has some crazy range of gameplay types. Core is the OG beat-em-up that does get as difficult as the originals. Would love to see an entire tv show done in the style of the cinematics.
